 I've seen some profiles by slaves, looking for a strict and controlling Master and specifically not anything soft or romantic. I've also seen a few that at least implied they weren't looking for any affection whatsoever.
What is the attraction to a slave, of being controlled by a harsh, strict Master who doesn't care about them?
I'm specifically looking for feedback from those who desire/ have such an arrangement. Not looking for comments from subs/slaves who like to post stuff like, "I don't know why they want that, but here's what I think..." [:@]

I am a Master who doesn't feel that romance is essential to Ms. Obedience is...and it can be as black and white as that. Perhaps this is what they're looking for.

Why the assumption that the slave doesnt want a master who cares? 

You can have a caring relationship without romantic love.

Absolutely. My relationship with My girl has nothing to do with romantic 'love' twaddle. I care for and about My property and am drawn to control her, she cares about Me and is drawn to please and serve Me. What more is needed?

For some they feel that love lessens and taints their submission and a Dom's dominance. I'm not one of those people. It grows deeper for me with love.

It's kinda like people who only want casual relationships or constantly seek out people who will hurt them or someone they can distance themselves from. There's usually something in their past that has caused them to push away any affection from others. I've seen it time and again. I used to be one of those.

Thankfully I had an epiphany and woke up one day and realized that ya know..that kind of life just sucks all around.

  I agree, romance isn't essential.

From a personal standing; I need to be 'in love' with the person whom I cede control to. I will admit though, that I am not sure how well it would work if he did not love me in return. I think that I would not be very happy or fulfilled in a relationship of that kind.
 
I do know others though, who do not place love on their list of must have's/needs/wants.
 
So, I would guess that it just depends on those involved within the relationship.

The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference.  There are plenty of men who -- at least in their fantasies -- want to be objectified, cuckolded, and financially enslaved by a princess who provides plenty of negative attention but doesn't show the "weakness" of being a mortal equal.  Is it so hard to understand that women have similar fantasies about being enslaved to men?

If the Master is paying attention to the sub/slave, and keeping her around, the Master cares.

Also, bear in mind that many of those female "I want a dom who will use me hard, no limits" profiles are created by men, in order to wank, or to separate horny guys from their money.
