Status: offline 		It seems like that's a fairly common situation. I mean, how often do we hear about couples wherein the dominant man is allowed to take as many partners as he wants, but the submissive woman is faithful?

Seems like that's the way a lot of couples here opperate.

Status: offline 		This definition may be accurate and the phenomenon is as old as the hills but is it really "cuckolding"?

For example...if a married man has a woman on the side we call her a "mistress" but if a married woman has a man on the side there is no term for him in the English language. Perhaps the term "reverse cuckold" seems awkward because there just isn't the same stigma associated with a man cheating on a woman as for the reverse.

And a great idea it was ;) because you're correct a male taking a mistress while his wife/partner remains faithful is so far removed from cuckolding they are not even in the same ball park, let alone playing the same kind of game.

Veronica, cuckolding in it's purest form is a 'husband', usually faithful, raising children borne of his 'wife' who are either knowningly or unknowingly to him, fathered by someone else. Keep in mind a 'wife's' role in the house was to obey and honour her husband and as the man of the house a 'husband' had certain society responsibilities too. Namely by marriage father a male child and continue his family line. Thus any children of the marriage were begot of John, or Joe or whatever his name happened to be. To learn one's 'children' weren't one's own made a laughing stock of the man and openly mocked his place at the head of the household as the child was irrefutable proof of his 'wife's' unfaithful ways.

O, that's easy. That's when a no-strings-housework slave is forced to have "train sex" with a whole line of sorority women in one night.
