I too read your journal. If I greet the morning with alcohol (which I haven't done in many, many years) I feel superior. I feel like the only person that really understands the world. I feel benevolent, courageous, and VERY friendly. I might even decide to call up old chums at 3 in the morning [:D]. Me: "Hey brother, guess who it is?!" Them: "Man, do you know what time it is? Are you out of your ever-loving mind?" Me: "I just had this great idea, I wanted to bring you in on it. I love you, man." Them: "You fucking lush asshole! I'm going back to bed." Me: "Wait man, I still haven't told you about my idea." Them: "Goodnight!" Me: "Hello! Hello! Eh, plenty of names in the old call list here, Let's see....." Anyway, you know that feeling goes away after you've had a bit of sleep. In fact, you feel like the world's biggest loser when you awake. "Oh my God, what was I thinking?" "Lord, if you make this go away I'll never drink again.....I swear!" Of course, the Lord and I both know that's a gigantic lie. So my advice is lock up your phone and stay off the computer when you get the urge to drink alone.
