I would be interested in knowing what kind of literature you would like to see come out on the lifestyle that you can pick up at a bookstore?

Depending on much time you have, I'd recommend talking to a publisher first and seeing if they have interest.

GreeneryPress is one and there are several others. Basically find non-fiction books on the scene and you can find out the publishers. Send them a basic query letter and try to get a dialogue started with them.

Of course you can self-publish but that's another type of work you'd do beyond the writing part.

There seems to be a decent (not great money mind you) market for non-fiction scene materials.

It's not you...it's your dom!

The true SAM handbook; get the spanking you need, everytime...

Watch out for the teeth! The handling, care and feeding of doms

Brats speak out; everything you ever wanted to know about dom-baiting but were afraid to ask!

Learning the ropes...how to handle a wayward sub...

I would enjoy reading a book that aligns itself closely to what I perceive as an ideal, long term, F/m relationship.

And I like the idea of walking into a bookstore anonymously and paying cash for such a book much better than ordering and downloading it online!

I'm curious as to why you're asking. Are you a writer?

I would like to see something involving Catherine the Great, the Winter Palace, and Russian Hussars written with mix of Tostoyian prosaic style, Tarantino story telling deviancy, Dostoevskian angst, and wild, unimaginable perversions that are less pedestrian than those found in Anne Rice's Beauty series.

I'd like to read or write about a forbiden love between a Demon and Angel. A temptation for one to become sadistic while the other yearns to serve again.

I wish there were a book that I could specifically tell clientele to go READ. Approaching a mistress, information about tributes, etc. I mean this to help both sides:

Many subs get used and abused in ways that not even they want. At the same time, many simply need to learn etiquette. Also, as a reference guides for Domme's so we don't have to do ALL the grunt work of breaking the new boys in.

Cloudboy,

You are a boy after my own heart. I have been facinated with Russian history since high school, and the history is rather sorted. Susan Johnson has a book out called "Love Storm" that is set in Russia shortly after the time of Catherine. It is a work of fiction; however, there are some clear parallels to real characters at the time. I will have to admit the portion of the book that takes place in the camp of a Moorish tribe is one of my favorites.

Something tells me that you might also be interested in something that discusses the slave trading industry in the Byzantine Empire, and the Love Masters who trained the sex slaves for the caliphs and sultans. Their training technics are indeed very interesting, and the processing for the slave being trained is very intense. I have adopted a few of the technics into my own style over the years.

Not only that, but the Winter Palace has like a billion rooms and Russian Hussars were handsome, brave, and valient men --- unlike the fat noblemen just living off the serfs. HBOs Rome was pretty fascinating, BTW, with its portrayal of pagan values, ownershp of slaves, and a male centered culture. Weaved into it were two strong lady types from rival factions (Pompei v. Ceasar) who hated one another and who were also quite the schemers.

Amayos would have loved living then, had he not drawn the "living as a slave" card.

Honestly wouldn't mind something out there about the dynamics involved in a masochistic Dom/ sadistic sub relationship. Also some Switch/Switch sadomasochistic information would be nice. Seems these types of dynamics get rather complicated. My friends have often referred to me as a Dominant with a masochistic streak, which may very well be the only thing I call myself a Switch over.

Fascinating topic on the ancient cultures, MzKim and cloudboy. Wouldn't mind looking into them.

I'm actually reading the Mistress Manual but would appreciate local booksellers like waterstones to sell it as you cannot just walk in and purchase lifestyle books very annoying have to be ordered.

One way to get them to carry such books on the shelf is to order them through the bookstore. If a bookstore feels there is a demand for a type of book they will often decide to carry them. In the case of the Mistress Manual, Greenery Press has good contact with all the chains so it's easy for one of the chain's stores to order their books.

Are you talking about major publishers who can get books into every outlet or small independent publishers? I mean we are talking extremes here. There are about 8,000 books written every year and of of that only one makes its way to a major publisher.
