candystripper -> A Question about Presentating Yourself (1/31/2006 3:10:45 PM)

May i please ask a question? Can someone tell me why some Men (and women) display themselves in pictures as nude or semi-nude?

Thank You.

xxblushesxx -> RE: A Question (1/31/2006 3:13:15 PM)

They like the attention

They are not shy

They are looking for a different kind of relationship (not serious)

They know what they want and how to ask for it

I guess any of those might apply...

You'd have to ask the individuals. But, really, how does it affect you or me? (as long as they don't send them to me! *lolol*)

IronBear -> RE: A Question (1/31/2006 3:35:19 PM)

Advertising their bits-n-pieces?????

windy135 -> RE: A Question (1/31/2006 3:37:39 PM)

honestly took the pic for a bf when he was out of town.. didn't use a pic at first but decided hey its the only one with my head cut off, and no one would expect such a thing from me...

Lenina -> RE: A Question (1/31/2006 3:43:42 PM)

This is generally a site to get to know other people in the bdsm life. The subject of the site is cenered around sex. It seems perfectly natural to me that we have avatars centered around sex as well.

I certainly don't have this avatar on some of my other boards.

We like how we look? We want others to like how we look?

I enjoy being nude.

Not necessaraly the case. I've never had any problems wandering naked through a camp of a couple of thousand pagans. I COULD post pictures of myself nude, I simply don't feel the need to.

If others do I haven't any problem with it. With the right person I even enjoy the view[:D]

My God, this truly is the day of youthful wisdom. The question is, does sex lead to a "relationship," or does a relationship lead to sex? Therein may lie the dichotomy between revealing profiles and less revealing ones.

Welcome back Candy,

laughing,,,,,, you must have been reading my last journal entry....
I don't have a problem with women who are sending me nude pic, in fact I encourage it. Nude women are nothing short of beautiful.

Just tell em to stop sending me pics after shoving everything they can get your hands around up their vagina. Some of these women give new meaning to the term "junk yard dog".

Well I am going to agree that it is a site centered around BDSM, but the subject of the site is not sex, it is "centered around BDSM" for which there are many variations on a theme. Given that, I do not have a problem with the naked profile pics, I have My own opinions about why---what I do hate is the unsolicited naked pics that get sent to Me in emails--I find that extremely offensive-- I mean ladies--if you walked into a bar would you say hello by exposing your vagina? or men say hi by whipping out your penis? I mean puhleez---and Doms--- Dommes get vag pics sent too.

Oooooh I thought you were just talking about the avatars or the profile photos. I didnt realize you were talking about men/women sending you photos of themselves nude/half nude. I have a different answer then, delete them and forget them. Doesnt answer your original question as to why they do it, but it does answer how to deal with them.

Petruchio -> RE: A Question about Presentating Yourself (1/31/2006 5:43:40 PM)

Now Candy, *I* sent you a nude photo.

Of course it wasn't of me.

MysticalPhoenix -> RE: A Question about Presentating Yourself (1/31/2006 5:59:40 PM)

One (of the many) reason why I like CM better than that other bdsm personals site is that nobody has yet sent me a picture of their penis.

When I used the other site, as did my former sub, we both got inundated with pictures of willies, peters, wangs, dicks, peckers, one-eyed trouser trout, 3-piece sets, and john thomases. Some soft, most hard. Some shaved, some natural, some had trimmed the hedges, but not mowed the lawn. Some small, some big, most average, and the occasional "hey, it's Ron Jeremy". Some had been photoshopped, most were expected to stand on their own merits.

I prefer smiling faces on first contact to naked erect genitals, but that's just my preference. I find that a smile says a lot more about a person than their dick does.

TemptingNviceSub -> RE: A Question about Presentating Yourself (1/31/2006 6:39:09 PM)

Well I can honestly say I have never recieved a nude photo as yet..Gee I hope by posting this they dont start coming...I agree with Mystical Phoenix..prefer a smile over a southernmost photo...[:)]...be well..Tempting

classykindasassy -> RE: A Question about Presentating Yourself (1/31/2006 7:19:36 PM)

well, i have not noticed on this site that the foray through the selection provides such off-putting photo selections as, say alt or aff. there, it is little more than a forest of stiff cock as one peruses the "online" selection. I finally gave up.

Yeah, I got sent the dick pics too, to the exclusion of face shots. Click/delete/move on. You can't stop it unless you

stop looking

close the profile

I have not gotten such stupidity on here. Not one dick pic. After a steady stream of that on alt and aff. But, i just now removed my nude pics in deference to my Dom. Because i wanted to...

Just reviewing the three quotes above is proof of yet one more area where we all agree to disagree. Its funny to watch the thread titles in a given forum too, it's just as varied
as these three thoughts. Seems some base this on Sex, others base it elsewhere. I myself tend to lean with MHOO314. No wonder why we all try to define the undefinable!
Hugs all.........
