I take nothing at face value online. I am a dominant, and I am still learning new things. Many of my old friends were the poser type. They would use a flail like they were just outright angry instead of (as I use it) as a sensory device.

As for OP I had issues with my past too, but I saw a shrink. I got help, and now I have a better understanding of myself and why the man did it to me. I had to grow and let the past be the past. I now am looking for Miss or Mister right who enjoys the same lifestyle, not because I want to hurt anyone, but because I like control to a point. As my friend Liam once said The Dom is never truly in charge, we must obey the limits of the ones that serve us.

True though this only applies to folks who have been reading and remembering what I say.

We (the husband and I) had an online friend once for three years whom it turned out was nothing but a pack of lies. When it came tumbling down it shattered my ability to believe 90% of what I see online and I've never recovered that. Folks I know through multiple venues I am am fair more willing to believe. I hope that didn't insult anyone it is just how I view things online.
