Two parts control, one part humility for me. I tend to like the psychological bits, too. It's useful as a punishment, and it focuses the sub's mind on sex, making them rather enjoyable when the punishment is over. True reverse psychology at work: tell them they are not allowed to have something they want, and they want it more.

(I suppose that's the same principal that a strip club works on, too.)

Greetings slave,

As has been pointed out, it is about the control of the private parts. For me though it is more control than I can view, because it is not just control of the orgasm or private use of the genitals and cunt, but after the release of the chastity it is the orgasm afterwards. The build up of the orgasm during the chastity time is imense, and the slave cannot orgasm because of the chastity device. Now release the chastity device and you have the slave being wound up, being so wet because the first time that they are going to be touched by the Dominant or Master or Mistress, they are going to be putty in their hands. The orgasm is going to shake their body if done properly and they might wince to have the chastity device re-instated just for that purpose.

I can think of 4 off the top of My head:

1) Being in control of when someone has sex or masturbates
2) Making sure that when they're locked into the device they won't be tempted to stray if their Owner isn't around
3) Humiliation (see example 1)
4) Punishment

Here's a FAQ on the effects of the female chastity belt by one of the experts Robert Pinkerton: http://www.lockmeup.com/cb/facts/effects.pdf He goes on for 41 pages on the various mundane and otherwise effects of female chastity belts. Here's part of a post from him taken from the site, it sums up one of the points buried in the FAQ:

Yes, power corrupts and absolute power is even more fun. It is about tease and denial, about putting them in a position when they get the constant little reminders that they're owned, locked-up, restricted and it's no longer up to them when they will be released.

It is also a test, it can be uncomfortable, even painful sometimes, potentially embarrassing or humiliating, etc. to wear one. In the real world it does take a real commitment to accept it, one that nobody will get from a 'do me' sub.

I can make myself reach orgasm merely from thought and little to no touching. If someone tried to deny me orgasm, I'd end up either having it in my sleep or I'd come from frustration.

Only a guy would assume that having something pressing "relentlessly, constantly against her labia majora" would cause a woman "constant frustration". Because women know that its more likely to have exactly the opposite effect.
With something pressing up against us in such a way, women would need very little wiggle room and not much time doing it, to orgasm. Sounds yummy. I want one, LOL!

I'm well aware about female sexuality in general, and that there is a lucky few who can enjoy an orgasm that way, or at all for that matter... clitoral stimulation or vaginal. I suppose my mind went to the dark side and imagined something more sadistic, like something that would hurt the female if she started to have contractions that would encourage her to stop.

Of course I am also aware that there is something out there like that... or that somebody has thought something up like that already.
