This thread is making me feel old.  Not only do I remember Maude, I remember when Maude was trading barbs with Archie on All in the Family.  She was one of the greast ones.  May she rest in peace.

I remember her in Maude and she would say to Bill Macy, who played her husband, "God will get you for that, Walter!"

I also loved her as Dorothy in Golden Girls...rest in peace!

RIGHT-ON MAUDE!!   As a kid i remeber watching Maude on T.V.  i remember her show was the 1st time i had ever heard a cuss word on T.V. LOL.  She (maude) called her husband (Walter) a son-of-a-bitch! LMAO. Now remember this was the 70's and you couldn't say that stuff on T.V. LOL. my jaw literally hit the floor...i'd say i was about 10, and i've never forgotten it LMAO

Thank you for letting us know, GT.
I enjoyed many-an-episode of 'Golden Girls' when I was little.  :>

She was a great talent and one of my favorites in comedy.

I love Bea, and I'm sure she would have made a fine Marine, but she was never actually in the Marine Corps.  She addresses that urban legend in an interview that can be seen here:
