First I'd comment on the post that intrigued me enough to check the profile. I'd be curious why the profile was blank, but ass-u-me that the profile and interests are blank for a reason. I'd probably ask why everything was blank though, because assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups, and nothing asked is nothing answered.

Not mine. But if something is not mentioned, or if someone is curious about something I'd gladly answer.

I've actually asked that question quite often and gotten a variety of different answers. Some people answer they would be something like a roll-top desk which I find very useful and would view such an answer as coming from someone service oriented. Others say they would be a broken toilet which I equate to low self-esteem and I would not want to get involved. Some folks want to be floggers or other forms of toys or games which tells me that the play is what is most important and others might be a piece of jewelry which means they probably see themselves as valuable. So, depending on their answer, if it's all I have to go on, it will lead me to more questions or send me running for the hills.

I wouldn't mind answering that same question myself if the shoe were on the other foot.

Status: offline 		Blank or mostly blank profiles don't interest me at all, and I don't have any desire to question them on anything.

My profiles never blank, even if it's just go away or not looking or BOO I always put something.

If I'm sick or otherwise incommunicado I guess I might, in which case the one line would be some kinda 'go away & here's why' variation . ... & for the remote possibility that I would have an el mysterioso profile while actually seeking after something, some variant of my question would be a good choice, I 'spose . . .. . lol

I would say something along the lines of "I like reading your posts, but find your profile sparse. I'd like to get to know you. Would you like to have a conversation?"

As for me, like others have said... I'll answer any reasonable question.

Status: offline 		Normally I wouldn't even be interested in the person if their profile is blank, especially if they have no photo, no matter how many posts they made in the forums...

but I guess if for some odd strange reason something would intrigue me about them I guess I would have to ask "why is your profile blank?".

Status: offline 		I have a blank profile. Well actually now my profile is missing or so CM states. There wasn't much on it anyways. I figure if you read my posts you will know a little about me. If anyone needs to ask a question regarding a post, then I normally will reply.  My interests is in the message boards, so having a profile is not important to me.

That describes my profile pretty accurately. I don't have a particular question in mind as long as it is not one of those pseudo intellectual "If you were a ..." questions whereby they presume to be able to divine the entirety of what I am from that one answer.

I get a lot of comments on my pic; that has led to some interesting conversations because people have read all kinds of things into it and ask me what was going on the day it was taken.

Maybe he/ she has come here a blank slate, and is redefining or just discovering their interests, likes and desires. i would ask nothing, i would simply say hi, my name is.... and yours. That's old school. Simplicity, Simplicity, Simplicity iii

Most of the time, what brings me to check out a profile is a post that I have found interesting or, in some rare cases, an avatar.  When I go to the profile and there is very little, then if I feel like asking a question I will usually say something along the lines of "I found your post interesting and would love to know more about how you came to that line of thought, if you'd care to converse."  Sadly, there are some who cannot even be bothered to answer that.

Given that I haven't left my profile blank, it is hard to imagine what question would want to be asked if it was...the question asked above would work.  In all honesty, since I enjoy making new friends, any question asked of me is O.K./
