Personally, I know several people who own Electra Designs corsets (made by Alexis Black) and she does amazing work. (I drool over her work on a weekly basis.) You can opt for a standard or custom measured piece. Standard sizing prices (for a full corset run from around $300 and up). The fabric is all by choice and you decide on embellishments (if any.) She has a lot of photos from clients on her journal (with options and pricelists and such - all available through her profile) and a webpage under construction. She's actually accepting orders (for the first time in quite a while.) Plus if you're a Miss Kitten von Mew fan, you can always brag that you buy your corsets at the same place. [:D]

If you are going to go for a corset from the UK then you need to take a look at http://www.fairygothmother.co.uk/ site. Though a little more expensive than most, they do make the most exquisite corsets that fit to the body like a second skin. They are very well known and respected and so ordering to the US should not be a problem.

Here is my question with number four.. the black velvet swags..??? if you girl is busty.. do they provide any support... because what i see is an underbust corset with a top to cover her bits and pieces so to speak... if she has any sag issues so to speak this would not be the corset I would choose...If she is hippy at all I would pick the last corset.. and for me the most practical is number five... or number one.. I have leather and love it and demin and like it alot..so.. flip a coin..

When it comes to corsets, don't look at the price but the quality (Jaz already said that) because it really doesn't "pay" if you get it cheaper but the quality is not up to scratch. Though I do disagree with leather having to be reworked, I have a few leather corsets and only the cheaper ones need to be reworked, the expensive ones are lined in silk or soft cotton, so the leather doesn't get a chance to stretch too much. If you go for versatile, go for an underbust corset, with overbust corsets fitting the boobs in can be a problem and if you do want to lace her up tight, there is a chance that she might spill out unless you go for made to measure but then that really really gets expensive...

I like to think that I learn a new thing every day, Lady C - and you have fulfilled that aspiration for me for this day. I used to think 'corsets' was meant to be two words, and involved two items of female underwear.

I wish I had a corset. If I had the money, I would go for the first one. It is leather, nice looking, great color and a lot cheaper than the others. Now I just have to suck up to the wife and get the money. HA HA HA Sincerly love Confinement, sub BalletBob
