I loathe shopping, regardless of who pays, foot rub or no foot rub.  I'd be interested in someone who would do the shopping without dragging me along with him.  If it weren't for Internet shopping, my clothes would be full of holes and there'd be no food in the house (yes, even groceries get delivered).  He'd be perfectly welcome to give me a foot rub when he gets home, after he's put everything away, though.

OMG, you should call me.  I go food shopping every few days to keep fresh fruits and veggies on the table.  Trader Joe's one of my favorite places to go.

yours

Shopping for me is a planned out, army-style reconnaissance-type mission. It's not (always) fun for me. I can't just buy stuff, I have to walk into various stores, compare prices, try things on, compare ingredient lists (if appropriate). I want to purchase the best quality I can for my budget – whilst shopping I'm constantly evaluating quality vs price. I have very specific tastes. I absolutely hate lugging bags around. I hate retracing my steps into a store I was in earlier to get something I have decided on. I absolutely hate walking around bustling, crowded towns/cities – seriously, seriously hate it.....

FINALLY - proof that I am not alone in the universe LOL.

One thing that speeds up the process is having a Blackberry and the internet in your purse. You can stand in one store and check prices elsewhere for the same exact item.

Classes here end mid May so that works for me too.  I can put off a car payment or 2 to be there.  Meeting you Lock would be icing on the (beef) cake.

I'd like three pounds of English cheddar, a half-pound of Stilton, a dozen free-range eggs, brussels sprouts, watercress, some Belgian beer, a few bottles of English cider, and a loaf of seeded French bread.  God, if Trader Joe's delivered, they'd quadruple the money they make off of me.  As it is, I go once every couple of months or so.  It just depends on when I run out of English cheddar.  Running out of English cheddar is a hard limit for me.  I know that was a cheesy thing to say.

My sub surprised me and took me shopping this weekend. He knew mother's day was coming and he treated me like royalty. We had a beautiful hotel room, he bought me roses, took me out to my favorite restaurants. When we went shopping he insisted on buying me an expensive purse (Coach), which I would never buy for myself. He carried all the bags and was smiling ear to ear the whole time.Did I appreciate it? You betcha, do I insist on that treatment? No I do not. I realize he has bills to pay and he should save his money. However it was important for him to treat me this way, in fact he begged me to let him treat me for the day.

When we got back to the hotel he gave me a bath and rubbed my feet. I realized how much pleasure he got from this and I let him enjoy it, because I was surely enjoying it. I love my man and I want us both to share our joys. As a Domme, I do not want money thrown at me, but to be treated occasionally oh yes that is sweet. Especially when your male does it from his heart.

Please let me know your views.

I'm not a dollar-domme, so I have no experience with this sort of thing, but I suppose any D/S game can be fun if the people involved are enjoying it.  Whatever assets, skills and good qualities a submissive has should definitely be used for the dominant's pleasure--doesn't matter whether those assets are economic or physical or mental.  I'm sure that shopping could be fun if I was with someone who could make it a guilt-free, worry-free experience.

I need some new dorm furniture for the summer. Wonder if I can become a switch and find a submissive girl with good credit to get me a new mini-fridge.

I looooooooooove shopping, so sure, having a male along who I considered to be good company who was getting pleasure out of spending the time, money, and effort seems theoretically nice.  'Course, the pragmatic part of myself wonders at taking advantage but if I was assured I was not and that the person wasn't going to turn into an annoyanace, sure.

Oh gawd.  I saw a cartoon in a paper once.   In it, there was a man sitting on a seat outside a changing room in a women's clothes shop.  Above his head was a sign saying "Please give up this seat to a boyfriend who is even more bored than you are".

I just steal from the cafeteria. Heat stroke from a pea coat in May Tennessee weather is a small price to pay for a pantry stocked with pudding and fruit cups.

I seriously have a thing for shoes

Really?  That's deeply shocking to me, Lady C.  I've never heard of a woman who was remotely interested in shoes before.  Chocolate likewise.  This is why women are forever having nightmares about shoes made out of chocolate, as Freud noted.

OK, so do you want a shopping porter?  I'll walk behind you happily - so long as you wear those strappy sandal heel things (which I love) and don't dither too much.

*perks up and pays attention*

Did someone say SHOES MADE OF CHOCOLATE?

Lol, Peon!  :>  I almost never try on anything when I am shopping (At least nothing that I can't try on without going into the dressing room).  Trust me, braving those dressing room mirrors is worse, even, than sitting outside of a dressing room waiting for someone.

Glad to hear I'm not alone also lol!! Fantastic idea about the mobile interwebz. I've tried it on my phone, but I have that slow mobile internet and a standard keypad phone, and it takes forever to call *anything* up.

Searching obessively for discount coupons when I have decided on a product has become a new part of my consumer repertoire. Now surely I'm not alone in hunting for coupon codes?

Because men generally dislike roaming about shopping centers, looking for the perfect sale, the perfect shoes, and gifts for other people, having one submit to all of that with a good attitude is very pleasing to me.
I absolutely loved having a slave who walked along without complaining, paid, and carried the bags.
What was I thinking when I broke up with him???   M

You guys are soooooo going to hate Me for this.

The who pays for items aside (not My personal dynamic style), clip absolutely loves to shop.  It doesn't matter where we're going, what we're buying, or what the purchase is for.  We actually don't even have to be going out to buy anything.  Yes, he is perfectly happy should I decide I need to go to the tenth store, rather than give up at the ninth, because I am looking for some perfect outfit for this occasion or that.  If I want to be at the vendor's area for the sixteenth time during an event, he's beside himself with joy.  There are very few activities in life that I would say have a higher enjoyment level for him.  The only two that I can think of off the top of My head would be play or sex.
