Hello,
This is really a Wonderful Informative site,
What I seek is Actual Female, Aggressor / Abductor / Sadist who did confine and torture a Male.
Males have Volumes of this behavior , through out history
Does ANYONE ? know of cases , Past and Present
where woman have have used this Modus Operandi,
Im also Interested along the same lines Where through forced confinement,
Behavior modification, through Sadism, Deprivation, etc were used to mold and train an unwilling Male subject,
Or is this all a Male's fantasy ?
I would Sincerely appreciate anyones knowledge on this subject

A perfect example might be Countess Elizabeth Bathory - ahhhh, I adore reading her history!

I think its a matter of what is considered valuable enough to report throughout time.

Usually we hear of the extremes or of the most powerful players in terms of military or political matters. In general women have not been in those positions as often as men. Also in western societies it was considered more polite to not talk about women's lives because that was "private" matters not appropriate for anyone outside the family to know.

I know in the Roman and Greek literature/legal documents/etc women are more often said to be more brutal in their treatment of slaves and underlinings but that men are the ones who will order the death sentence while the woman gets out the hair brush and beats her maids to a bloody mess. Ancient historians argue what this means: is it an lashing out by women against the restrictions they have? is it women just having more time one-on-one with house slaves? it is merely BS that the authors think add spice to the narrative.

Opps, I'm going into a historian's rant....

While I think its dangerous to read back in time, current statistics I've seen from childhood abuse survivors report just as much abuse from women as from men, the abuse from women tends to be more emotional and psychological than physical or sexual. This suggests that at least today how women are sadistic is expressed differently than men.

I think that could be a matter of socialization and would never attribute it to "femaleness or maleness".

I'm also using the term "sadist" here in the non-BDSM sense since I think this is what the OP is looking for.

There are actually quite a few books on this topic, but to name a few:

Ezerbet Bathory, who recorded the slaughter of some 500 virginal servant girls whom she killed to bathe in their blood, as she believed it would prolong her life.

Audrey Marie Hilley, who poisoned two husbands and her daughter with rat poison to obtain their life insurance policies.

Aileen Wuornos, who murdered seven men in cold blood, for money or cars to bring back to her girlfriend.

Agrippina the Younger, who had several people put to death so that her son, Nero, would become emperor.

Mary the First of England, who had some 300 people burned at the stake so that she could restore England to a Catholic nation. She is also known as Bloody Mary.

Mary Ann Cotton, who is believed to have killed between fifteen and twenty-one people, including her mother, four of her husbands, and several children and stepchildren, through arsenic poisoning.

Marie Noe, who killed eight of her newly born infants (but only confessed to four) to gain attention from the media.

Rose West, who helped her husband to keep and slaughter sex slaves in their home, then bury them in fields.

Karla Homolka, who helped her husband to drug, rape, and murder her 19 yr old sister, as well as a few other young women.

There are of course many other dispicable and evil women in our history, and there are certainly multitudes of books about them. Sadism is hardly a male-only trait.

Well, I'm not so sure that these women qualify as sadists. They were murderers, sure, but I don't see that their motivation was to get off on causing pain.

Ohhh, I'm still pondering on this one! I fully realize there is a big difference between evil, cruelty, and greed compared to sadism and while many women referenced in this thread are truly evil, they might not be considered Sadists. Some like Aileen killing for revenge and monetary survival. Messalina, Queen "Bloody Mary" or even Marie Hilley (who My grandmother knew - I've kinfolk in that area!), or some others mentioned on this thread were seemingly evil due to the greed for money, power or fame. Others might be seen more as "Black Widows", such as Vera Renzi, killing only their mates and often for revenge or money. And other as co-partners in crime are more victim as to seduction and cohercion by men they are involved with, such as Charlene Gallego or the wife of Cameron Hooker (can't recall her name) while other women such as Rosemary West or Homolka, I feel were truly sadists on their own and needed only the small flame of their partner to start their sadistic fires burnng. So on with the task of knowledge of Female Sadists....

I also totally forgot another infamous Sadistic Woman: Madame Lalaurie

I think that such a motivation would require a good deal of evidence -- of the sort it would be rare to have outside of psychological interviews or personal diaries. I thought the OP question was move about sadism as in brutal behavior regardless of sexual arousal for the predator him/herself.

Given that there is now a movie out portraying Karla Homolka as a victim, I am glad to see her on your list of female sadists.
She was a willing participant, of that there is no doubt in my mind at all.
