JonnieBoy -> Positive Experience ... Negative Backlash (5/5/2009 6:01:05 PM)

I've met and enjoyed the company (in person)of a good number of contributors to this site. Not one of them has proven to be any less than spectacular in person.

There are a lot of jealous mudslinging negative contributors here too.I will say that all those I have met I have chosen to meet and I believe they have chosen to meet me.
No one expects me to be polite all the time but I am rarely rude (except in terms of the music genre)

I am wondering if anyone can give me a good reason or two to visit this site more often than recently as well as offer a translation of the term fascist from US English into common English.

It is woeful that my expectation is so low but I will be frank ... the "fuck off you're not American so you don't understand" shit will not wash.

If anyone can explain why people who don't know me and never met me can try telling me what I should think then I say  maybe they are building the next "Iron Curtain"/"Wall Of China"/"Hadrians Wall" and by extension ... living in a siege mentality.

CM has a lot to offer but a lot of assholes on the roll undermining what it could be.

Pirate

(expecting that it was more hassle than it was worth to post this but doing it for a GOOD cause)

What specifically does this relate to, you'd have to give examples. People tell me what I should think all the time, I tell others what they should think, sooner or later in this battle of wills of us all telling each other what to think some are convinced they are wrong and some are convinced they are right. Isn't that like normal conversation/argument?
I’ve mostly come across those that can recognise the benefits of seeing something from an outsiders perspective.

Perhaps if your post were a little clearer I could understand what your point was, and could respond in a meaningful way, however...

Lockit -> RE: Positive Experience ... Negative Backlash (5/6/2009 10:52:48 AM)

You've made eight post and don't have anything on your profile that would bring about the statements you are claiming people have said to you.  So you must have had another profile or are seemingly arguing with yourself.  I don't get your post as anything but a complaint or argument and with who I don't know.

What's your point?  What's your good cause?

What a load of bull.  You met no one.

Best not to compare casual banter with the dating portion of CM.    For what it is worth tho- on this forum we have alot of delightful people.  Some have even met.  A portion of talked on the phone.   ..and there are posters who entered a LTR over it.

BTW- in one regard Americans are myopic.  The comment applies.  The iron curtain comment- I very much agree with. I dont like it. I cant change it.  You are correct- that cultures that do so are less dynamic.

It alarms me- how blissful Americans are- to being immune from the follies of history.    I see that crashing down in short order.

The great wall of China did not work.  -Chicago setting up all sorta of traffic cameras. Why would I as a tourist drive from PA to Chicago- if some camera- which is a thing- hardly an accuser- might fail to tabulate PA car insurance for IL car insurance?

Why risk the hassle.

Look tho deeper into the Bilderburg group- the council of foreign relations, and the planned eugenics of the planet and the picture gets bleaker.

Anyhow- what do you propose as a solution?

pa - I know this is going to sound a bit harsh, but seriously, get a grip.  He hasn't exactly hidden who he is and half the regulars here attended his wedding.

And apart from that, his wife fucking ROCKS.  Personal opinion an all that, YMMV.

LOL... I didn't know it was 'The Pirate'.... okay there are immitation pirate's and wannabe's all over the place... I thought it was a wannabe pirate!

I didn't know anyone was being nasty to 'The Pirate'!

I guess I better find a way to keep up... this lil ol lady brain is becoming a real hassle!  I never expected to be blind as a bat and old on top of that!  I thought I was immune!
