Quick reply:
This subject gives me some cause for concern:

That a woman who might be hard-up for money and brand new to the scene can get a job at a local Dungeon and have drinking new Doms beating on her young butt.

It is a dangerous business for a Fem sub, no doubt.
I am all for female empowerment and being a pro sub for a new Dom has done damage to some people I know. As someone said above: The sub really doesn't have control.

Someone else wrote: Picking experienced Dom/mes and my two cents: Doms who don't drink or use drugs while playing is are both good ideas. And some Doms do lie about this subject.

I have seen fem pro-subs burn out pretty quickly.

You bring up some important issues, but I don't know any reputable dungeon who will leave submissives on their own, especially when the Dom in question and his skills, his temper, etc. are not well known to the others in the dungeon. I also know of no reputable dungeon who would leave the submissive alone, especially during the first sessions. There were a few ground rules...

- During the first session the door stayed open and somebody was taking the time to glimpse in in a not too disturbing way
- No gagging unless the dom was well known and the submissive was OK with it, then often somebody would just check (getting a piece of equipment out) to check things were OK
- A safeword that everybody knew
- No alcohol or drugs permitted, ever, anybody under the influence just was asked to leave, staff was fired on the spot

When a Dom broke one of the rules or went over the agreed bounds, he was asked to leave without a refund, and everybody went to the phone and informed all the other dungeons. I'm a actually surprised that not all dungeons operate with those rules, they do make sense.

Submissives working on their own are in a rather risky situation, just like they are in risky situations in dungeons that do not care about them. I would assume that any submissive would make sure that the dungeon has rather stringed rules concerning their well-being and safety and that they are enforced.

I was an admin assistant for many years.  That felt like professional submission in my world.

I do pay men.  I also ask them to sign a release for the video rights.  I beat two men a month and that is what I do for a living. I do beatdowns, sometimes topless and always with my grappling gloves on.  I am known as "Grappling Girl"  out there on the net.  If the sub is a good boy, then I relieve him or help him along. I do not always pay men, sometimes they WANT to come back for another beatdown session. I always try to respect his limits but I always get what I want from him, when I want it.  I am in Tampa bay area Florida.

I do this at the moment. It's a great way to get through school... I have lots of down time for studying, frequent vacations, and generally have a lot of fun with 95% of the guys I play with.

I do not work in a dungeon, as I don't live near one, and I feel it's better to work independently, especially since my schedule is sporatic.

As far as control... I'm in control. No doubt about it. Paying professional sub does not mean you hand over a few bills, and then get to do whatever you please.

TickledToDeath -> RE: Professional submissive (5/20/2009 7:27:39 AM)

Indeed there are Pro Subs just like there are Pro Dommes.
Seek and thee shall find. OR if you wish to become one......advertise.
Not sure what the going rate is or whether or not there are a lot of dom people be they men or women would pay for a pro but, they are out there I am sure.
One would THINK that more men pay for play then there are women who would pay for a sub.
That may be another post/thread altogether.

HalloweenWhite -> RE: Professional submissive (5/20/2009 7:39:01 AM)

I've seen adverts online once and twice for professional submissives. No clue what they were like though.

roland23 -> RE: Professional submissive (5/27/2009 12:08:58 PM)

pleasuredancer -> RE: Professional submissive (5/27/2009 1:16:37 PM)

There are at least two pro-dungeons in our area that have pro-subs. Many of them will do either, top or bottom, but they get paid more for bottoming. Though many pretend that $300 an hour, or whatever the going rate is, is high, these women don't get wealthy. In our area, there are more women doing it than the demand dictates, and they can only do it for a few years, when they are young and lovely. Sure, some manage to work into their later years, but it is rare. Knowing a few who do this, I can easily see how they manage the risk, but there is still a greater risk than domming.

redneckhippies -> RE: Professional submissive (5/27/2009 4:51:46 PM)

I worked as a pro sub for several years and only stopped because my current Dom doesn't want me to. It is nothing like prostitution, the scenes i did were strictly toy related and were kept to bondage, flogging, paddles, etc. i was lucky enough to work with other subs and a couple of Dom/mes doing classes for newbies. I and the other subs were simply the demos and practice canvas for the class. this gave us safety and the students confidence that they could practice without reproach for a bad shot from us (unlike the significant others) i think it's a wonderful way to make money and if you're smart it's no more dangerous than any other play with a stranger.

I'd never do this but does anyone know if there's such thing as a professional sub?  One whom dominants pay to let them beat him or her?

Professional male submissive = HOT!

Umm...with all due respect, it depends on the Sub.

I have seent his before as my country is somewhat of a free port for some people with means to cater to their desires and if you talk about a Pro Sub for Sadists, particularly Male Pro Subs to be used by Female or Male Sadists, you must expect to see some scars, depending how much they burn through the track as we say. As a lady once taught me, a price horse that wins twice as many races lasts half as many years doing so, and the wear and tear of daily work takes its toll, just like boxers are accustomed to suffer, it's why the more "Maso" they have to "act", the less time they have to sell their bodies before they put on one too many scars and looks, and stamina, fades away.

I actually know some of these men who come from panama and Mexico as well as Puerto Rico to train here in sports and see the market in the incipient BDSM life here, which is mostly, 99% Dommes traveling here and finding BDSM play by accident or by knowledge or referral from previous times. I have been under the whips os very well-known and ladies of Sadism, although the danger in here is, that if you don't have people to play with and people to connect you with them who can vouch as well as check up on you and check them out first, you might get to have a posthumous fame...on a snuff film.

Already happened once, never again.
