harddaddy4u -> training camps (5/20/2009 7:03:27 PM)

I am currently in communication with a lovely slave from California (Corona, specifically), and she has ostensibly been "trained" by some type of camp located in that city.

We have conversed for a couple of months, and she has supposedly decided that I'm her "choice" of a Master to serve for life.

The organization that she has been "trained" by apparently "owns" her, until a suitable Master is found.  They have sent me a "contract" which looks more like just a basic information form, and I'm to sign and return it, and then send them money for her training and for a medical test.  After that, she will be relocated to me at their expense.  The fee they are asking is $600 for the "training", and $200 for the test, for a total of $800.

While I am totally comfortable with the slave herself, and feel that she is genuine, the form sent up some red flags because it was riddled with misspellings and poor grammar.  I also cross checked the address they gave me, and nothing came up.  I wrote them back about my concerns, and they wrote back with another address.  Obviously, they want the money sent through Moneygram.

My question to you is.........how do I go about verifying the authenticity of the camp?  I asked them for references initially, but they claim that all previous clients request privacy, which may in fact, be true.  It's also rather convenient.  I have nothing to go on, in regards to their legitimacy and honesty.

Once I send the money, the slave could disappear from my IM friends list and email contact list and I might never hear another thing about it.  The money will undoubtedly disappear.  My instincts tell me that this is a scam.  Then again, it might be totally legit, and the person who sent the form might just be a poor speller, and the bad address might have been a mistake.

Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

See if you can visit her 'at camp'. This would be a perfectly normal desire, as this is the slave you would be owning for your lifetime. So they should have no problem with letting you see your goods live and in person.

Kat, you have more common sense than a lot of people twice your age.  This is exactly the kind of thing that makes me think poorly of the folks who claim that no one young can know anything about real BDSM.

YoungBlondeSlave -> RE: training camps (5/20/2009 7:14:03 PM)

Ask her for a phone number to call and talk to her. Look up the camp online, if they can't be found online i'd bet dollars to doughnuts that they don't exist. Ask her for referrals, or talk to the Dom or Master who sent her there for training...i don't know of any slave that would send themselves to a training camp. At least, not without the direction of their Owner, because they don't (or shouldn't) decide what skills they should be taught.

Could we maybe see the letter that they sent you? If it's as bad as you say i bet it's a sham because any business is there to *stay* in business, a very unprofessional letter would not do well to boost their clientele. i.e. "Are yu a slave? We can train you too be the best slave youre Master could ever wanted yu too bee." If it's something like that, save your money. It's a scam artist (a very bad one, at that). Yes i'm exaggerating but some of the profiles and websites i've read have made me cringe.

edited to add:
i've read your profile and you seem like a pretty decent person. You shouldn't even need to pay for a sub to be with you outside of possible relocation costs.

OsideGirl -> RE: training camps (5/20/2009 7:17:18 PM)

As far as I know there is no "training camp" in Corona.

Next, do you not sense something is wrong that you're sending a complete stranger $800 via MoneyGram? You don't find it odd that someone would commit themselves to you without ever having met you? You're talking to a submissive that openly claims that she's at this "camp" but yet other submissives that must have done the same thing want privacy? From someone else in the scene?

Sheesh, use your head.

MstrPBK -> RE: training camps (5/20/2009 7:17:50 PM)

A document that is riddled with misspellings is a red flag by itself
Stop the process and get out NOW your facing a HUGE scam.

A related question:

ARE THERE any legitimate "slave" training groups that have been verified and accepted for what they are? OR should one assume they are ALL scams?

CarrieO -> RE: training camps (5/20/2009 7:18:56 PM)

I would suggest you go back and read your post and then ask yourself if it sounds believable.

Would you really consider sending $800 in a moneygram to a "person" who can't provide references or a legitimate address? Have you met this "slave" in person?

Think, man...THINK!

harddaddy4u -> RE: training camps (5/20/2009 7:30:55 PM)

Thanks to everyone for their advice and commentary.  Believe me, I've already considered the points each of you mentioned, and took steps to try and ascertain the validity of everything I have been told.  There is a good reason I have NOT sent the money.

I simply wanted to lay out all the facts and let some of you help to confirm what I already know in my heart and soul to be the case.  Also, I was interested to see if anyone knew anything about this supposed "camp".

I think my original post shows a good deal of healthy cynicism - I was basically looking for confirmation of my own conclusions.

Thanks to each of you.

GYPZYQUEEN -> RE: training camps (5/20/2009 7:44:35 PM)

also.. with my sub school....
as with others..... it is paid for by the subs..
They sign up for a course and it is to have  skill sets( simple like bathing rituals..cooking..foot massage) to present to a Mistress..
and them paying shows WILLINGNESS to please already

If a teacher sub came to you would she want her university paid..?
a comp whiz want her comp course paid..? a chef want her culinary arts paid for?
maybe after when you  are in relationship you may discuss education and who pays but before?..nope
 and
most MASTERS want to TRAIN their girl themselves...anyway

and

**do they have a website? faculty list? faculty credentials list?
a cirriculum outline..??a flyer.. a brochure?
**what has she said she learned there? that is of value to YOU...?

ASK then and see what happens..[8|]

Comrade -> RE: training camps (5/20/2009 10:10:00 PM)

The simplest solution is to request to perform an inspection of the camp.  Purchase her in person and transport her back.

Same here. To the OP- OsideGirl and I both live fairly close to Corona.

As you surmised, this is 100% scam. After the initial $800, I'm guessing that "your" slave will be in some horrible accident and you will be contacted with a request for cash to pay the medical bills (the poor dear doesn't have insurance, after all). Scammers like this will keep on with one request/ demand after another as long as you keep ponying up the cash, and will be gone the second you refuse to pay any more. Never, EVER send money to someone you don't know IRL through Western Union or Moneygram. Once the money is picked up (and scammers are VERY quick on that), it is gone forever.

As an aside, chances are very good that the "slave" you have been exchanging emails with is a man. This is true about 95% of the time. Phone calls and such are done by girlfriends or female relatives, pics are stolen off the web.

My parental units paid $800.00 to send me to band camp once.

I came home with a whole new respect for the kink of the flute.

There's the transverse flute with a blowhole, the end blown,
which are rim-blown as opposed to fipple flutes with sharp
edge play, or the Japanese strict notch play lovingly baptized
Shakuhachi*.(no relation) And let us not forget those crazy
Irish with their six finger holed flageolets. Mmmmm shivers.

Ah yes, singing around the campfire with s'mores in my hair.

Good times.

Is the Group in Corona called the Monarch?

If so, I know the goofy bastards exist, and yes they do charge for their services and you could call them legit but just rather goofy pretencious Bastards.

As with EVERYTHING, Never pay for a Horse before you know it's still alive.

No group that I know of would deny the request to see the girl and the TRAINING she received. The whole wanting Privacy is BullShit unless you are buying into WhiteSlavery and then 800 is cheap VERY CHEAP.

Lots of things do not add up but the area you are talking about may have a training camp...... my question is why get a girl who you are going to have to UNTRAIN what you never wanted TRAINED in the first place? Just sounds........ Lazy to me.

Master Taino runs a training academy for both Masters and slaves. Attendees pay tuition and the academy, in no way, owns the slaves or Masters who graduate...nor does the academy have any say in their lives.

There is also Butchmanns, which is a spiritual Sm/Ms weekend experience.

Journeyman's exists as well. All of these can be found with a google search and come highly recommended. I have attended two of the three and now am faculty for one (Butchmanns).

A medical exam, eh? So I'm assuming with the sexual nature they will be running a comprehensive blood and urinalysis, which the bloodwork uninsured will run about $180-$240 from most pathology labs. Oh, and a medical doctor- don't they make a nice chunk of first visits too?

This just makes no fiscal sense whatsoever.
