Now, a question which puzzles me fairly often...somehow I NEVER liked beards...I don't mind if a friend has a beard...but I always prefered my partners to "be naked in their face."

Now my current date from here...unfortunately... has a  goatee  and it is already obvious that I can't challenge him on that...*damndoms*

So I was wondering from anyone do you like or dislike beards, why or why not you like or dislike beards and if you like beards if you have any preferences of a particular beard?

Now, as I said, I don't like beards and remember a date in the past who was even accomodating to reduce his beard to a goatee for me...which was better, but I still prefer "naked"...so I am just trying to understand why men (or even their partner) like beards...I keep saying to men who have one...well, then I can kiss my cat instead *though I know there is still a little difference, of course* So insight of that topic would be appreciated...

I have a beard, for a couple of reasons. One being I look like a kid without some facial hair, and two, I hate shaving, maintaining clean look is a pain for me, and a third is I lost my chin somewhere along the way and no longer have the defined chin I once had. However I do shave it off occasionally, rarely though.

I like beards it's like a frame for lips, and that thought is quite attractive. Also fuzzy faces make me think of fuzzy chests.

I go from a goatee to a full beard and have had one for years now. I do shave it off from time to time but it always returns and fast. One of the reasons is I have a few scars I like to cover a bit. Now if we are speaking about a guy I'm playing with.. I would rather them not have one.. double standard... yep it sure is... and I'm ok with that.

I've tried growing a beard, but I never make it past the itchy stage.

I have a beard for one reason and one reason only - I hate shaving.  My first shave was a major disapointment.  There I was, age thirteen,  eagerly standing in front of the bathroom mirror.  A can a shaving cream in one hand, the razor in the other.  "Today," I proudly told myself with puffed up chest, "I AM A MAN!"

Five minutes later I'm dripping blood all over the sink thinking, "Fuck this shit."  The "AHHGGGGG!!!!!" that followed the application of the aftershave sealed the deal for me.

Fuck shaving.  Just five more minutes in the morning I could be sleeping.

What about if your partner would offer to shave you? Would you still keep it or would you accept sometimes to get rid of it?

I like having a beard but am willing to keep it shaved if that is what my partner prefers. Even though I am a Dom. For me there are a combination of reasons.

First off I like having a beard because I have very red lips for a man and it looks like I am wearing lipstick sometimes without one.

Secondly I am only 22 years old and I tend to go for girls who typically like much older men. Not by choice it is simply the kind of girls I find I am attracted to and I have the attitude of a much older man (or so I have been told). A beard makes me look older plain and simple I look easily 26 with one and 19 without one.

I don't like shaving much or maintaining it. When I have a beard I can go a week without doing anything, when I don't I have to shave at lease every other day before the hair grows in on my cheeks and makes me look weird.

Lastly I tend to rub my chin and face a lot when I have a beard I twist and play with that, when I am clean shaven I do it directly to the skin, mixing that with the recently shaven skin and open pours causes acne. Beards prevent me from getting acne.

That said it only takes me about a week to get it to where I like it and after 3-4 months I have to really start trimming all the time so I typically shave sometime around there anyways. So for me it is not an issue to shave for my partner even though I am Dominant.

If she is a obedient naked slave girl, kneeling while she does so (while I luxueriate in a hot steaming bath) - Yeah, I admit I could get into that.  Otherwise it's love me, love my beard.

They're itchy and scratchy and Master just doesn't look as handsome in one.

I've had a beard since I was 17. I like my beard. I have shaved a few times for occupational reasons, but I eventually left the jobs to grow my beard back.
Now other than liking my beard alot, I was hit by a car while I was seventeen, and took damage to my neck. the nerve damage runs up into my face, up along the underside of my jaw. there is great pain when it is touched, never mind dragging a piece of metal across it. The beard is the style I want, and I don't want to add more unnecessary pain to my daily continuous pain.

A goatee makes me weak in the knees.  Not crazy about a full beard though, depends on the guy's face.  A mustache can be good too on some guys.  I can't stand the feeling of hard whiskers though...ouch.

Indeed...also grey hair seems to turn up there first. A previous sports coach from me looked so much better without a beard and in the last years whilst I was in that club he got awful grey at his beard when he dared to let it grow...

Whilst I can tolerate a beard when I have to...I simply prefer without...also often guys look younger without a beard...
