Well, a bit clearer... I've only heard a few (bad quality) recordings, but the sound is amazing.

@BKSir The counter-tenor is alive and well ;) I *know* a few at my school, they're just not voice majors (One's music therapy, another's a trombonist, for instance). It's a cultural thing, but it's not seen as a very 'manly' range, so many counter-tenors are discouraged from pursuing it since they also have trouble singing normal tenor ranges. *shrug*

we watched it the other week, expecting him to do some Boy Band number at worst or some rock number at best; just goes to show one shouldnt judge by appearances!

A shame too.  They tend to have such beautiful voices.  It's a certain under-pitch that female soprano's just can't do.  No offense meant of course, it's just a physical impossibility (or rather extreme improbability).
