Oh god yeah.  I felt so bad for the poor guy.  The entire time I was thinking, "Well, he'll do awesome if he can just not curl up in a ball/start crying/piss himself for another 60 seconds."

Status: offline 		What many people don't realize is that it isn't a falsetto.  To have that natural range or have trained yourself to sing that high as a man (as with Adam Lambert) is really great.  But we only find out about what's going on on that show when you Brit's let us know or they post it on our news. 

It's a shame too, I bet just as much as we watch America's Got Talent over here, we would enjoy watching runs of the British version over here.  I know I would, but as stated on another thread, I have that reality show junkie thing going on.....

I agree entirely. I'm usually entranced by high male-voices... but I've also turned into a bit of a snob when it comes to opera D: I want my opera done 'right' (whatever I mean by that)... and changing the vocal range isn't doing it right!

See, for me it's strange.  I hate "reality" television.  Reality tv to me should be the news...  But I like UK's got talent.  I like also that Simon isn't a complete douche on it.  In fact, at times, he's actually rather sweet.  And has such a cute smile. :)

Status: offline 		I think it's because he actually is a pretty nice guy.  I mean, that smile...  That's a smile you can't fake.  I think he just plays up the whole "asshat bit" for us statesiders, because that's what the majority want to see.

Status: offline 		I think I am actually falling into a serious crush/like with Simon!  On one of those video's he even pouted! omg...  It was the Jamie Pugh video.  Simon can be an ass... but then he gets that smile or that surprise and you can see his mind or emotions working and when he gives encouragement... none better!  He has the means to change lives and when he tells someone their life may have just been changed... I wonder what he is up to!

Indeed...he is an ass (IMO) but he also surprised me when I read this in the metro many months ago:
