Okay either you had a different name (which I seem to vaguely and dimly remember something to that effect a few years ago, or am I dreaming that up? lol) or you need to get them to fix your join date! hehe!

Good to see you around again, you threadjerker you! *grin*

Thanks ShadeDiva. I really don't remember exactly when I joined but it's been a long time. I never changed names but I have redone my profile a few times. [;)]

If someone has to change screen names every few days, and feel you are constantly being attacked, insulted, ridiculed, persecuted, etc. you may want to take a good look at their own personality. If one feels that they have to complain because they do not recieve the responses they want and thinks that means everyone else has to change, they may want to consider that if everyone thinks you sound like an ass, it might not be everyone else's problem.

*snickers*

Good point though, and worth repeating!

It would be much easier for people to respond if you stayed with just one profile on each thread. Just for clarification though, I was not aware that collarme was a site in 2002....can anyone tell me the date this started....Sub4hire maybe as I believe she is the longest standing member here today?

Kudos to mistoferin, smiles, I wonder how many profiles that cannot be found belong to he/she/it OwnedProperty, SubjectProperty, and whatever other nicks it chooses to use. IMHO, it seems that if someone wanted to cause changes to the site, they would be more open about who they are, instead of openly using multiple nicks, which negatively enhances their position...

Has anybody else noticed the OP hasn't posted to this thread since 2/8?

He got put on moderated status under the 3 names we currently have for him, and created a 4th yesterday he tried to use.

MasterABD -> RE: MONITORING THE MODERATORS (2/18/2006 4:31:39 PM)

Altho my profile wil not show it, I have been a member of this website sense 2002 (so yes it was around 4 years ago). I've had my share of runins with ModOne and many other mods on this site.

I was banned from certain chatrooms for an undisclosed (lets just say more then a year) ammount of time. I complained over a year ago about many issues which involve the moderators of this website. Most of my problems all revolved around the chatrooms not the forums. I was treated absolutely unjustly, unfairly, and completely in a rude fassion. I honestly wished I had the experience of being ignored, cause that would have been a far nicer thing to have happened then what did happen.

I won't get into the details as I like having my account here and i like many of the people I do chat with. I havn't moved on for the same reason, I like many of the people here and moving on means I will not have the honor of debating with them.

There have been a great deal of discussions of relocating in a great number of the chatrooms based on recent finding involving privacy issues. Again I won't get into the details of things here as I try to keep my accounts active indefinately.

There is a shadiness that surrounds collarme, and I suppose always will, as those who own the site do shady things. I have made reports of the finding on other websites, as to do so on this site will likely get the posting removed. (and whats the biggest site I would post these findings on? gee one can only wonder!!)

These problems have been going on sense the start of collarme. However in the defense of the modone (go figure), she has continuously improved and educated her staff to avoid problems of abuse and censorship. As time goes on, I am sure she will continue to do so. The more this happens the better the site becomes.

Just because I have issues, does not mean everyone will nor does it mean my issues reflect collarme. Someone else may have had the same issue and been treated totally different. Thats what happens when you run a website. As more problems arrise, you learn from them, and perhaps you handle things differently the second time arround.

My suggestion would be, either move on, or get over it. Complaining will not change the problem only heighten it, trust me on this. The more you complain the worse you look to those who havn't had problems and view collarme completely differently.

The way i see it rudeness seems to be a huge theme here no matter where we turn. why that is i have no idea. i cant say i was entirely happy with getting put on mod the other day, especially since i had no clu what it was about, only to find i did something that i was not aware would or could happen. so we wound up with a situation where both the mod and i could have been considered correct and of course tie goes to the mod.

i voice my opinions to mod one as a result of reading this thread based on other forums i am in and how they are run. i hope she takes it to heart because there are certain conflicts in interest that i feel need to be taken care of.

Finally i did have a problem with a certain situation and it was taken care of in a matter of hours by mod 1.

am i angry, no. do i think certain things can and should improve of course. do i think people shold shut up about it NEVER.

No project improves without input. cut off communication so those who are clueless can flourish i think not.

i just put in a request to have a thread for feature suggestions possibly even more.

these people designing this arent stoooopid. if they see an idea that strikes home they will try it i am sure. to just shut up because someone might be in a bad light certainly does not do the growth of this site any justice and i cannot imagine anyone on the cm staff having that attitude tho i can say my bedside manner when talking about it the first time out could have been a little nicer and a certain mod knows what i am talking about.

all in all i do not want to give any one a big head here but i think they put in a very good effort to meet the needs of everyone and of course they are growing too and there is always growing pains. all in all i am happy cm and a host of other free sites that are popping up are doing what they are because the places that charge are hiway robbery compared to what you get from them. i too have made several friends and tho we do most phone now we still fire off messages on here some times to each other too.

my issue isnt with the mods as it is with the literally institutionalized heckling that goes on by a certain group of people on this forum.

mnottertail -> RE: MONITORING THE MODERATORS (2/19/2006 9:21:33 PM)

There used to be one but it was used too much for complaints and was removed, at least i think that's why it was removed.

michaelGA -> RE: MONITORING THE MODERATORS (2/19/2006 10:51:09 PM)

true, els this thread will be a rerun of some others that have since been closed.

i probably won't stick around for the commercials on this one either...LOL
