I have noticed over the years that my tastes have changed subtly over the years. Things that used to excite me don't do it as much, yet I have found other things that excite me more...has anyone else experienced this?

Done well... I like all the things I liked from the start... I have just added more things to them!

I can't think of anything I started out enjoying which I now dislike, but there have been plenty of things that didn't appeal to me at first that I love, now. Of course, that's with actually doing stuff - in fantasies, I tend to get bored with one thing and need to find different scenarios sometimes.

LOL...Heavanskeeper It is funny that you mention watches. I used to feel naked without a watch for years. In the last 10 years or so, I quit wearing one and find it a bother now to do so. Yes you are right we change...

There are things that I love doing now that I never dreamed of doing ten years ago. There's other stuff I probably haven't done in ten years! My enjoyment level doesn't change, so much as I rotate the things I do to keep things interesting.

I have, I find that life is an ebb and flow, things I did wildly when I was in My 20's and 30's. I gave up to raise a wee one. Things I have today, like the horses, I would never have dreamed of---and I find that I am very at peace with Myself--if it happens, fine, if it doesn't fine--in the meantime-- I'm not slowing down My thirst for life.

Yes, my tastes have changed significantly over the years. I have no regrets, though. The things that I enjoyed then I look back on with fondness, and the things I enjoy now I look forward to participating in. I have noticed, though, that when one is with one or more people for a long stretch of time, sometimes the changes in oneself don't coincide with the changes in others and this can cause some real stress to the household while everything works itself out. I really can't think of anything that I started out enjoying that I no longer do. I can think of tons of things that I never thought I'd like that I love doing. I was something of a late blooming sadist, so I acquired new tastes later.

Considering the 'interests' that I've collected recently, it's funny that the one thing I started out wanting to do I'm still embarrassed to talk about. It's really quite mild in relation to all those more recent interests, as well.
