SirKenin -> RE: God or ET--which is more likely to exist? (2/8/2006 9:31:19 PM)

A very interesting question actually. I ponder Myself on what level God exists. If we are to believe the Bible, which I do, we know that two men have actually met God and lived to tell about it. One man never died, but was taken up in the sky to eternal life. I have seen things happen in My own life when I was walking on the right path that never could have happened without divine intervention. So, those of faith know that something does exist. Interestingly enough, if you think about it hard enough and open your mind up to the possibilities, you could apply much of what you read in the Bible to the existence of aliens. In other words, back when the Bible was written men did not have the ability to effectively communicate science such as the beginning of the world and strange phenomena. They compacting stories to pass along from generation to generation, just touching on generalizations and non-specifics to make it easier to pass on. It is entirely possible when they were communicating the concept of a rapture, for instance, and that those who walked in Christ would be taken to heaven that they were whisked away by aliens to another planet in the stars, while the hell could be an earth with an ever expanding sun and eroded ozone layer making the heat unbearable. I do not want to vote one or the other, because if you have an open mind, both are equally possible.
