I've never found her appealing. Dunno why. My favorite in this series is the one of her walking away...

Ditto. I never have understood the appeal. The blonde bimbo thing has just never done it for me. I can only stand about 5 minutes of a conversation with a woman like that before I feel like screaming and pulling my hair out.

Now, I do understand that Marilyn Monroe put on an act for folks, and that the dumb blonde thing was essentially a character she was playing. But I don't find real life dumb blonde bimbos to be attractive...just saying.

*Edited for spelling*

That is the reason why I love the Andre de Deines photographs of her, especially the early ones.
Her hair was darker.
She was still Norma Jean

Just one small question:

What was the thing with those torpedo bra's?

(Sorry....I just don't get the whole 50's look).

Torpedo bras were designed to be worn under all those tight sweaters popular in the era.

Ooh, Google calls them "bullet bra"s. And they come in pointy tipped steel....

true story, my aunts grew up in the days of the torpedo bras.

and in their large family (7 girls) when they got their first bra, it was a 34B, whether *they* were, or not.  if they werent?  mama turned the bra inside out, sewed a seam across the tip and it fit you.  period.

my aunts said they like to NEVER lived down being "square boob'ed".

I too never found the "offical" Monroe all that appealing.  She was a lot prettier without the gobs of makeup and the bra that made her tits look like missles.  I guess I just prefer my women natural.

Hey someone told me that JFK invented the "three hole" brag. I dunno, it sort of changes the way I look at her.
