I wouldn't advise coffee.  It doesn't only stimulate the bladder.  There could be an  embarrassing outcome that might mar the erotic experience for both parties.
Okay, what?      I'm totally curious and clueless.   M

Well, i know that a lot of coffee can make the pee taste nasty.  AND a LOT of coffee can give some people "the runs" too, and that might take away from the experience.  lol

Try blindfolding them. Seriously.
I'm pretty inhibition free because my first pee training was as a sub, and I now play in a hood for privacy. But I know girls only trained as Dommes can lose their persona when people make eye contact. So blindfold subby, drink until your belly swells, and play with them until you feel your bladder start to reach it's limits, then squat over their face....

M, you force me to be put aside my the suaveness for which I'm widely known and admired!  Coffee loosens the rectum.  You could end up doing an inadvertent poo poo as well as a pee pee.

I kinda have to agree with Lyra. I have the shy bladder thing too and my mate LOVES getting golden showers when he's piss drunk (lol..bad pun, I know!). We basically go into a dry bathtub and I make him close his eyes and I close mine and let go. Occassionally I have a few false starts but once I get the flow going, all is well.

Oh! And like peon said...coffee stimulates more then just the bladder. LMAO!!!

Welll, coffee may stimulate more than the bladder, but I drink a lot of coffee and I have never had any mishaps.

I think one should turn to Eastern philosophies and harness the power of energy and visualization.

Steps:

1. For extra inspiration, it would help to see a video of Niagara Falls on YouTube.
2. Assume position that is comfortable and close your eyes. As with all things related to yoga and Eastern philosophies, make sure you are well hydrated.
3. Take deep breaths and with each breath visualize that all the moisture from the air is entering your body, and somehow magically moving from your lungs to your bladder to amass there. It helps if you live in a place that has high humidity. If you live in Arizona, you will just have to breathe longer.
4. Next, imagine Niagara Falls has relocated to your bladder. Hear the sound, feel the mist on your face. Imagine it flowing out of you.
5. Pretty soon, you will indeed hear some sounds of water falling. However, if the mist on your face also becomes reality, something is not right and there is likely a need to tweak the position.

Cheers,

Sea

I'll say this for the USA, Sea: you certainly get better quality acid tabs out there than you get in the UK.

The only thing I know about is antacid tabs.

;-)

I agree with what some others have said.  Don't force yourself to stand if you are still in the stage fright stage.  You're doubling your anxiety with an unusual position.  Once you get used to the activity, you do it from different angles.

Of course, drink lots of water.  Some folks would recommend a glass of wine or two for relaxation, depending on whether or not you are going to engage in other forms of play prior.  Do those things that help to keep your apprehension down.

One that other folks haven't mentioned.  Don't put a time limit on yourself and keep clocks turned away from you.  The more you pressure yourself, the harder it will be.  Give yourself lots of time.

The first time I did this I giggled like a schoolgirl.  It took Me quite a while because I had the same apprehension as you.  Thankfully, the boy I had at the time was very patient.

I'd like to do golden showers in my sessions but I can't get over my pee fright. It doesn't matter how much beer, water, coffee or gatorade I've had or how badly I have to go - when I'm standing over someone it just.... doesn't happen. Anyone have tips on how to get past this?

I can help.

Move up to Seattle for ohhhhhh.....about 3 weeks....

That'll do it.

(I'm here to help....hey....I'm a giver).

I hadn't realised that acid rain was such a problem up there, LNN.  You should join a pressure group and take to the streets with placards.

Pee into an empty squeeze bottle before hand.  Make sure it's not more than 2 hours or the ammonia smell will get a bit too high.

Keep bottle in a cool dry place.

Bind sub hand and foot.  Blindfold, or use a hood, and use ear plugs.

Leave sub bound and helpless wondering where you are as you go nuke the clean, dry bottle for one minute only.

Shake to be sure there are no hot spots.

Return, make him feel your boots on either side of his helpless self.

Spray away on the helpless, unknowing sub.  (Hide the bottle after.)

It's a mindfuk, yanno.

TM

PS: then, over time, practice on peeing in your hand in the shower.  Once you can do that, add a sub and pee on his thigh.  It gets much easier with a little bit of practice.  When you're comfortable with it move it out of the shower. Might take a few weeks.  TM

Just thought I would share this because it kind of fits in with the general theme of this thread. Some years ago, I was owned by a professional dominant who had me living in the session house. She used to take really long sessions and leave me at the whim of the other women who worked as dominants and submissives at the house (it didn't matter whether they were dominants or submissive...they were all dominant to me, the live-in house slave). Anyway, my mistress required me to ask permission of her concerning practically anything, including going to the rest room. When she was in a session, she delegated the approval of such permission to the other women at the house. Sometimes, they'd take some sadistic pleasure in saying no, but most of the time they really didn't care. Unfortunately (or fortunately) there was this one Asian dominant who worked at the place who knew from some years back that I was extremely enamored with her (even my mistress knew it, which often made for interesting dilemmas at times...it was a strange place to live, I will admit). Anyway, every time I asked her for permission, or she heard me asking for permission, she would make sure the answer was yes, and then she'd dash down to the downstairs bathroom (the only one I was allowed to use) and then just stand there staring at me. I could never go to the bathroom when she did it. It used to mess me up so much because then she would just laugh and say "Obviously you didn't have to go bad enough, slave" and then remove permission to pee until I asked her again. One day, I waited until she was away from the main room where the women reclined and asked one of the other women, who really didn't care and said, "fine, go ahead." I was almost to the bathroom when I heard my antagonist yelling from upstairs: "He what???" and came running down the stairs so she could watch me while I tried to pee. Of course, I didn't succeed. Man, she was relentless.
