Status: offline 		Ladies, Gentlemen, and everyone else,

I'm interested in toilet training, so I've been practicing a bit--and that, with mixed results.  I'll spare the gory details.  Let's just say that I'd prefer to not gag after drinking a few ounces.  While I'm sure there's a forum dedicated to this topic somewhere else, I wasn't able to find it. 

You may be amused to know that, while it's "common knowledge" that if you're ever marooned on a desert island, a human being is able to drink his or her own urine, the vanilla community (according to Google) isn't so hot about it:
"... I could not believe people could actually drink their own urine. It made me gag just to think about it. ... "
"ONLY A BUMCH OF NERDS WOULD LOVE THE TASTE OF THEIR OWN URINE! ..."
(and my personal favorite)
"I voted drinking urine. I don't know why, but it just seems worse to me (not that cannibalism's much better). ..."

...but it is better.  Right?  ........right?

So you agree with that statement?  (Maybe this wasn't the forum for this question, lol.)  Just kidding--I know what you meant.  Still, who actually thinks something like that?  "If I had to choose between something some people do for health reasons and eating something that was once a living human being, I'd have to choose the latter."

Status: offline 		For whom this topic is of interest, I spoke with an experienced Domme regarding this, and she told me that all one must do is hold one's nose.  It goes right down.

Status: offline 		I've done a bit of this, I haven't tried drinking my or Master's urine yet but I have tasted it. Master has diabetes, so his urine is slightly sweet tasting. I think it's just something you slowly have to train yourself to do, maybe start by diluting it with juice or water and over time remove the diluting agent a bit at a time and work up to straight urine? that's probably what I would want to do

Status: offline 		yummy, this is one of my favorite subjects, i have been a toilet slut for many years now. And i have even developed a love of my own urine. i drink perhaps 1 to 1 /2 cups per morning not necessarily prescribed or instructed by a Dominant/Master it has just become one of my extreme fetishes. i suggest to take it very slowly, and enjoy this, and a lil tid bit that i found out just about 6 months ago..... people who have diabetes have the most incredible piss i have ever tasted it actually taste just like McDonald's sweet tea.... God's honest truth.... it must be there diet or the meds they take but it is truly yummy.... just thought i'd share, my taste for the best piss in town..

Status: offline 		OP, if you use the search function, you'll find a lot of threads regarding this. One of the seemingly better ideas that I've heard (mind you, I've no experience in this) was to start by drinking stale, warm beer. Then, you can work your way up. As uninhibited said, there are various factors that can affect the taste, so you might try working with someone using a ...sweet pee diet first.

Status: offline 		One word of caution here. Dont drink urine of you are dehydrated. The salt produced by the kidneys will have an adverse effect on you.

Status: offline 		Garlic really affects the taste of urine. Gives it a very bitter taste. As will broccoli and asparagus, though not as bitter as garlic. Masters urine was very bitter one morning. He'd forgotten he had garlic the day before. Diabetics urine is sweeter. I'm a diabetic and Master says my urine is sweet. He can also tell when my sugar is up even before I check it by the sweetness of my urine. So be aware of what you eat 24 hours prior to having someone drink your urine.

Status: offline 		I think I will stick with Dr. Pepper.  If you are thinking your Doms, should you be concerned is he is on meds and the effect they would have on you with repeated drinks?

Status: offline 		i had a vanilla friend who was seriously into this, well, he prefered to do the peeing. Anyway, to make sure the urine was not salty he would do a 24 hour water cleanse- it was always easy to consume and never had an odor. Some might say this takes away from the whole thing but this has been my only experience.

Also, please remember MANY diseases are passed through urine....Hep B, Gonnorhea, Urinary Tract infection, Chlamydia and Herpes to name a few.

Status: offline 		From my understanding (but I could be wrong) that urine is sterile, one of the concerns would be if someone is taking drugs or other hazardous substances or has some disease that could be passed on by the process. Do a Google search

Status: offline 		as a slave that has never drank urine i would just like to comment i think it would be an honor to be my mistress's toilet as long as it was just urinie i cant even think about eating poop, that just doesnt seem safe at all, urinie just seems a lot safer i see on them shows like man vs wild he drinks his on pee and says its safe as long as its fresh and not been sitting out in warm weather

Status: offline 		Psychological reactions to ingesting body fluids ( mucus, blood, urine, saliva, sweat, semen, etc. ) have been studied in some detail I believe, though it was a number of years ago now.  Seems that different people have different levels of reaction/distaste for it, but in general it does bring some level of discomfort for most people.

A simple way to measure this response in yourself is to spit into cup and then drink it.  Whatever your level of response, most people do experience even their own body fluids as different once they are outside their bodies.

I can't remember if they concluded that this response was hardwired or learned,  though I suspect that like so many things it is a bit of both.  It would follow that to at least some degree it should be possible to habituate to the experience by simply doing it.

Yeah, or the fact that there's so much sugar in their blood stream that their kidneys can't reclaim it all and it spills over into their urine, a process that can eventually result in kidney failure.

This is definitely not my personal kink, but the nurse in me has to say that, if your person's pee tastes like McDonald's sweet tea, you should probably ask them how often they are checking their blood sugar. And for sure if the person is not a diabetic, they should go to the doctor!

Status: offline 		It's one of those myth stealing shows.  Urine itself is sterile as long as you do not have any specific infection.
However the urinary tract, uretha, pubic hair etc are not.  So when it leaves your body, it becomes a non sterile substance almost immediately.  The minute you pee, your drinking bacteria(if thats your thing).  Which is all cool as long as you are aware of that fact.  If the bacteria isn't life threatening, it's no biggie.

Status: offline 		Urine contains things your body can't use or process. If someone is taking meds, those meds can be present in the urine in small amounts. These amounts may not be harmful but CAN affect the taste! (antibiotics are AWFUL!).
