There once was a sailor named Popeye,
Whose big colon just up and died,
The Doctors went in,
And before he could grin,
They gave him a part-time new brown-eye!!

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery!!

Pops, I hope the surgery goes well and that you dont get any irritation at the colostomy site, (miserable if you do)
Quick healing hugs for you.
Take care see you back here soon
Lucy

Hi Popeye

I hope you're having an evening surgery-

You know the old line-

Brown eye at morn- sailor be warned,
Brown eye at night- sailor's delight.

Be good man....

Sam

Do as you are told, no man heroics crap---keep your colostomy site clean, eat what you are told to and don't do anything you aren't supposed to and you will come through with flying colors.

Huge virtual hugs to you. Behave![8D]

You guys crack me up!
I see the surgeon a week from today. My other Dr told me that they'll probably want to do a colonoscopy so they can see what's going on.
Damn, I just had that done last year.Damn, I'll be quite the shit factory.
No wonder I can't find a sub/slave! "Colostomy Bag", oh yeah, that's quite the lure ain't it! They'll be knocking down my door when they hear that!

pahunkboy -> RE: Surgery (6/8/2009 2:06:30 PM)

Popeye- this will help you in weight control.   Food parts wedge into the colon and wears out a soar.   So digestion and cravings are effected.   I see it in my mom.

I am squeamish.  If I seen a colon bag- I would freak out.    Last year- I fell thru a window that I attempted to install. (should have been 2 men)

I was able to watch each stitch being put in.  The Dr tho seemed squeamish.      Speaking of DRs I had sex with one at the park.  I tried to get him to visit my place and for us to make it routine.   But no.  He wanted to see all he was missing.   It sort of surprised me that an educated person, wants to whore at the park.    and not develop any type of fling or dating thing.

some more of the bright side T

my grandad, as was common at the time, left school young - although uncommon for the time at the age of 9; his dad (the nutter who fought the Zulus as a teen, the Boers as a man and who volunteered for WWI as an old man (rejected for some reason) couldnt support the family - wife, my grandad plus six daughters.

Anyway, he went to work at 9 as an apprentice and worked his whole life to age 65, saving and investing on the way - doing it all the "right way" and rising to become a properly qualified mechanical engineer.

One week before he was due to retire, he was called to fix a carpet loom. So, in he goes and starts fixing it. Then, some halfwit switches the line back on whilst he has this loom partially disassembled. The shuttle shoots at high speed, as it is wont to do - but unfortunately the bits that stop it and return it are no longer there. It rips through my grandad's stomach.

He very nearly dies, but they save him. But this is 1965 and medicine has only got so far and he has to wear a colostomy bag the rest of his life - 30 years of it.

If you only have to put up with it for a few weeks or months, youre a lucky guy.

And as my grandad always said, "you learn real quick who your friends are when this goes off in company"

Sweet dreams
E

Hey,... Got computer repaired w. a few upgrades~ so far so good. The mini notebook is cute, tho I am having a bit of a time figuring out wireless connection. No problem, it will be great for road trips!

So here I am to check in and I find this lovely info... FFS, sounds overall shitty to me. Do follow the Dr's instructions and heal FAST.

Very pretty pic... lol! I bet I can guess where you were.
Hugs and all...

PS Heard from Enigma, *had to* change jobs~ gosh the layoffs!
