At the ripe old age of 45... i have PMDD...its AWFUL, a few days before my period its terrible. Its like i am trapped in a glass coffin, and this crazy awful woman has hi jacked my body.  i can hear the words coming out of her mouth, but i can't stop her. i'm weepy, i'm VERY down, i'm clingy, i feel physically ill (cramps, diarrhea, achey) and i also will get at least one genuine migraine before, during, or after my period. [:(] Seriously...shoot me please?

Ditto!  You covered it all.

I was told once that we're not bitches when we're PMS'ing we're just being really really honest [:)]

Lockit,

i can let that go by, without asking you: Have you seen the movie Fargo by the Coen Brothers. There
is some serious shredding going on there. Maybe it can help you develop an even more mistressful
shredding ability:-).

Calandra -> RE: Hormones--al--or not (6/9/2009 10:01:08 PM)

FR

I, at the ripe old age of 43 have developed endometriosis. My docs say that it usually shows up in someone much younger, but when it does hit someone My age (I'm perimenopausal so WTF???) it tends to be quite aggressive. I was doing wonderfully this last year since having a "mirena" installed... but believe it or not, Tuesday I fell fard enough to dislodge it (4 years too early) and it caused quite a bit of hemorrhaging. So now I'm going back on some other form of hormone therapy... yay me.

I just can't wait for the mood swings to hit again!

Well I always used words to shred... but I am thinking I am lacking somehow... and maybe, just maybe that movie might help... so off to the video store for me!  I must do all I can to be all mistressful like!

Thanks! lol

Calandra -> RE: Hormones--al--or not (6/9/2009 10:54:31 PM)

Thanks Lockit,
I'm hurting, but I will survive. I try to find humor and positivity in life, and I have two granddaughters coming this summer (one in three weeks!!!!) so this won't keep me down long.

It's funny, went with my daughter in law to the Obstetrics appt, and the doctor was asking me if I was okay - LOL

Calandra -> RE: Hormones--al--or not (6/9/2009 10:55:46 PM)

LyraLaLaurie -> RE: Hormones--al--or not (6/9/2009 11:28:28 PM)

If I'm on the same birth control for too long the estrogen builds up and I get (literally) asexual and have less energy in general. Turns out some of your energy, even if you don't know it, is sexual energy...and of course I am less into bdsm.

Right before my period I feel lots of frustrated, restless or violent energy. I could take care of that just by going for a run...but...:P

Calandra -> RE: Hormones--al--or not (6/9/2009 11:32:42 PM)
