I think it was lost in there, but I actually did.  Respect.  At the very minimum, common courtesy.

That doesn't just go for subs, btw.  I use the same standard for other D types.  Those old Emily Post things about how do people treat the wait staff and other service type personnel is a big one for Me.  Believe it or not, My opinion of someone can rely heavily on how they interact with others, rather than with Me, who they might be trying to impress.

I'm glad the fight's over, but it made me take a good look at Steven's shirt for the first time. It's a hell of a shirt. I wish I had one like it.

I hate him. He's better looking than I am, he's smarter than i am, he's a nicer guy than I am, he's got a sweeter smile than i do, and now he's a better dresser than i am. Now I'll be awake all night stewing about it. I wish I'd never clicked on this damned thread.

Have you been to Colorado?  The shirt is more than appropriate.  The perfect thing for the cool mornings in the crisp air.  Still starry eyed from the night before, waking in the day to gaze at the peak beneath a crystal blue sky. Endorphins continuing to flow in your brain and your physical self heightened to the sensations of the world around you. Feeling one with the beauty and majesty.  Connected to the sky, the mountains, even the chill in the air.

All that is missing is a pair of fuzzy slippers for sitting outside and a cup of hot chocolate to help one greet the day.

That should have been 'like you so much', Lady Hib.  I don't see that an argument on a forum should serve as an excuse to slip into bad English.

I have to ask......
One may think well of someone (adverb in declarative case)
One may think much of someone (adverb in nominativecase)

Likewise .....

One can well like another (declarative)
One can like another much (nominative)

Forgive me, please, if I am interfering in a private joke, but I am querlious of the fault which needed correction.   Why was it incorrect to like (person) so well -  a nominative of the quality of the liking - and correct only to like them much - the declarative case indicating amount or degree to which the liking occurs.

Normal transmissions may now resume.

[:D]  I've no idea, Ms D.  I think the insertion of the word "so" makes the crucial difference.  Beeble usually handles this sort of issue splendidly, but he's on a sabbatical at the moment.  I'm just his poor understudy. 

Nonetheless, I'm sure Lady Hib will thank me warmly and affectionately for my kind advice on her grammar.
