I would be interested to know if anyone had attempted to act out a long held fantasy only to be dissapointed by the reality. I have tried a number of fantasies that I have and enjoyed them immensely but there are some that I suspect would be nowhere near as fun as they are in my imagination.

I have the fantasy of being blindfolded, tied doggy style and being used by several men. This is one of those fantasies that looks really good in my head, but I am sure the reality would leave me feeling anything but satisfied.

Anything else I have had in my head and been able to actually do, usually comes out pretty well and I am glad I was open to the experience.

As a Domme I led many men through their fantasies. Some were so overwhelmed that they never came back. (These had nothing to do with sado-masochism but simply getting inside their heads to find out what they were truly craving.) Others told me that living out their fantasy came as a disappointment. (An example of this was a man who wanted to drink his own ejaculation until it actually came time to do so. The thought of it was very exciting to him until after he actually ejaculated and then the desire went away.)

For myself, the reality is generally better than the fantasy. However, I am careful not to carry too many preconceived notions and expectations. It is when my expectations get too high for things to happen in a certain preset order that I am most likely to be disappointed.

Some fantasies are best left at that stage and can bring much pleasure just as a thought. I encourage people to live out as many as they can and not to cheat themselves out of the experience, but to be wise in the ones that they choose to live out. While I might enjoy daydreaming about my Master kicking the crap out of someone who accosts me it is not a situation I would want to set up in real life. In that fantasy it is just the idea that someone cares enough about me to put himself in danger to keep me safe.

My current hottest fantasy is to be on Kink.com with Master on the Training of O or Sex and Submission. i think this is because of the location; industrial, dark, brooding, unforgiving and harsh. However, Wwe are doing stuff not far off what they do (apart from the suspension stuff) and so my fantasy is almost reality. i certainly have the best bits of it already with Master and to be honest i don't really care about where i am when Wwe are in full swing so... Maybe i am just lucky *grins*

Well before i met Master my fanatsy was actually pretty tame i wanted to have a 3 sum. One of my play partners at that time knew a guy who might be interesred. So we met for coffee and all went well, so we set up a meet to play. It was ok it was not all i expected it to be. I am still glad i tried it i got that out of my system. Now one of my hard limits is not to be shared, and Master does not share anyway.

Sometimes the anticipation is better than the real thing... having it finally fulfilled can often be anticlimactic, particularly if, as in your case, it was a "long held fantasy." I think that's pretty normal.

On the other hand, i know i have certain fantasies that will remain as such, as there's no way i'd ever want to make them a reality.

I can relate. I had a threesome once with my Master and a mutual friend/neighbor.
It was OK, kind of awkward, not as hot as I had expected.
And it made for very uncomfortable neighborhood get togethers for a while, but I wasn't able to put my finger on the vibe.

As abstract a thinker as i am....(and i am)....its hard for me to describe a concept. I do actually understand what you are saying though i think in the confines of your own head you can imagine whatever feelings you like to go along with graspable concepts but in reality sometimes...
More mundane than that though like a couple of others on here I was interested in trying out a threesome but when I had one I didn't enjoy it because I couldn't relax. Everytime I started enjoying one partner I felt concious that I was neglecting the other and kept worrying I was hurting someone's feelings by doing things with onw that I wasn't with the other. i think that kinky as I am it's one on one in the bedroom for me.

I've had a fantasy that was better even than I imagined as well, the first time I slept with a transexual I was really nervous and not at all sure how it would be but i loved it one of the greatest nights of my life and that is going up against some pretty stiff competition!
