Just wondering really how prevalent full toilet slavery is among those engaging in BDSM? I notice almost every thread about it ultimately carries a few jokes...what I gather is that it's generally viewed as an embarrassement and not many people, even if they were into it on some level, wouldn't admit it. Is TS really as unpopular as I'm thinking?

It's what I give the nickname of a "niche fetish" - people seem to really be into it or they really are not. Others I lump into that same category are crossdressing or knife play. They are common enough that most people know of them yet it seems that a minority of people practice them and they are hard limits for many. (Please understand, "niche fetish" is my own definition and I don't expect others to accept it.)

Any topic known to man is something, someone can make a joke about. Some things are just more fun and provide a bit more material for the comedian type. There are people into this and people very not into it, its the luck of the draw around here on who responds and with what response they have. I haven't really found that those that are into it, afraid to stand up and say so! lol That's why we have at about two threads a week on it! lol

It is far more common than people realize because it is a "shamefull" kink. It is one of those things like dominants submitting in private, it isn't polite conversation. I will say that it is a kink that I was surprised to find among my own and it is one I look forward to exploring more in public. Sadly, none of my past serious partners were into it so it isn't something that I have really been able to explore. Some if it I am sure is hot fantasy but the reality of a few parts of it may be too much for me to actually go there. I think another reason it is such a private kink is that the meaning is SO personal, seeing someone you love accepting something SO rejected is awe inspiring between the two participants but watching it is rather ugly and disgusting because the emotional meaning isn't clear to outsiders.

Many more BDSM folks are into it than say openly on their profile, I've found. I haven't heard a lot of it in RL. There's too many people whose squick factor is so loud that others feel uncomfortable voicing their interest, I guess. I don't know if I could physically do it, but I'd give it a try for the right person. That would be one hell of a person though.

I am huge toilet slavery fan. I have done golden showers several times and tried brown shower a couple of times. what i have found is there's more slaves interested in full toilet training than mistresses who enjoy that. another problem is the high cost that mistresses who provide the service charge. Speaking from the Dom's perspective, I suspect that for most its the willingness of the sub/slave to move past the squick to accept what her/his D/M requires that has value but I suspect it is more complex. (Yes I assume some D/M's are pure sadist but I doubt that's a significant minority). Some subs just want to prove somethign to their D/M but perhaps some truly need to be put into that situation, need to be degraded/humiliated/abused. I'd really love to hear some subs/slaves reactions.

A lot of outsiders, as you say, would find it distasteful, if they do not fully understand the meaning or expression of feeling behind the act. i do think about that from time to time, though, i must admit :) k.

Is giving or receiving an enema considered scat-play? It is an embarrassing type of thing to do and there is definitely poo and smells to contend with...but as far as i know a lot of people are taking enemas for health reasons and personal hygene as much as pleasure...I even saw it done on a mainstream t.v. program about dieting.
