crazy weather here, we were in a drought for the longest time...then the sky opened up and gave us a tornado. The other day we had a doozie the sky turned green and sky opened up and rained for a good 2 hours. I guess thats what i get for living in west texas lol. If u dont like the weather stay for 10 mins it will change.

Interesting replies!    I mean- so many areas experiencing weather that is not typical.

I dont recall am El nino being quite this way.

Maybe the US and the UK/IE  have the weather mixed up for now.   It could cool off- the humidity is bad... and the temps are enough to use the AC.  I suspect higher mold count.

I dont mind the rain... but gee- it is hard to cut the grass.

Hi PA  hope you are having a fantastic week!
The weather has been unusual here in the UK for the past few months.  Not that anyone can complain.  Blue skies, high temps and beautiful consistant weather - very unUK like.
Although we had a really bad hail storm the other day in one area with reports of something similar to a small whirlwind.

Thank you!   My week is going very well.

I routinely send postal letters to the UK.  The person on the other end- insists that I enclose it in plastic.   I hesitated- cause that adds to the weight of the letter- but if I want any reply the plastic is required.  I take that to mean that mail boxes get wet over there.

I am sure the river will rise here --maybe alot.  But we have a floodwall, and unlike New Orleans- we maintain it.  ;-)
Which reminds me- argh.  Bills- water-sewer flood wall- mortgage.      Sidenote here- A coin I ordered off of ebay- the dude used a rare stamp to send it!!!!!   Man- makes you wonder.

in case anyone didnt catch on-  people sneak drugs into prisons via the stamp on the envelop.   Steaming the stamp would release such drug.   :-) I am sure the letters drive the guards crazy because writers use all kinds of colors and decorations- spend hours on a card or letter.

I'm in south Florida and at the start of the the rainy season we been getting hit hard. We needed it though, plus I am a big fan of thunder, lightening and winds;). We are now in hurricane season. Will just have to wait and see.
The birds are weird though. I have two egrads living in the cypress tree in front of my terrace. I am on the top floor. That is odd. Hummingbirds are also hanging out on that tree, and this is the first time I have seen them since I moved to Fl almost 5 yrs ago. We have wild parakeets too. I do hear an owl, but have not seen it yet. My cat though is amused sitting on the table in the screen terrace.

Don't know if this was broadcasted but south of Fort Worth, 3 earthquakes occurred within a week. This area is known for its natural gas production.

thornhappy -> RE: un-usual weather here, how about ur town? (6/14/2009 5:41:08 PM)

Lots of rain lately.  We were supposed to be clear today, but there's random rain and a severe thunderstorm watch up for now.
