I think it's a matter ultimately of relying on your OWN common sense and best judgement until you think it is really a good idea to do otherwise.
As a submissive friend once told me, old saying, "if you're gonna be dumb, you better be tough".

( why don t they do what they say say what they mean you know one thing leads to another  )   I just think some people have selective reading glassasses on yep  but you know who cares   its just people opionions  yep  take that and twitter it

Latex, I refuse to argue this with you; the last time I tried, you refused to even answer anything that was asked...it's a useless cause because you see and hear only what you want and close your mind to anything else. With you, it's a vicious circle. Enjoy it.

I'm morbidly obese, wracked with gout & arthritis, have high blood pressure and diabetes, but I have more energy than someone two years older than me who prides themselves on keeping themselves fit and healthy.

They're highly qualified in sports science and massage therapies, have a home gym, but can't work 20 hours a week without being comatose for the majority of the rest of the week.

My last job was 37.5 hours a week, meaning 12 hours out of the house, five days a week. I still managed to come home, cook for four and do whatever else needed doing, plus having a full weekend, catching up on stuff I'd not fitted in during the week...

Work THAT one out!?

That's what you're wanting isn't it? Unhealthy people?

I have no time, energy or intertest in emotional vampires--in or out of the life.

edited because drinking tea without sugar and reading the OP appears to be causing me hallucinations. I need to lie down.

Never having found a universal *unhealthy* person......I just like what I like about someone. They might not be *good for me* as a partner but if I like them, they are obviously appealing to me in some way.

Was there a question in there somewhere?

Did you actually understand the point he was failing miserably to make?

It reminded me of reading statements written in "English" where the natural language was either foreign or not of this Earth or time. Much gets lost in the translation from that mind to the written word I fear.... I've often suggested to some that they write original drafts in Word using 14 point Times Roman with both grammar and spell check on with double spacing and walking away before proof reading to make corrections and thus giving one's self a better chance to have a logical legible post or document.

No one's perfect. I require my people to be actively working to process, care for, and develop as needed a plan for living with their issues. I require the same of myself. A lot of the people in my life are what other people would call broken. But my bipolar heartsister knows to meditate and pray and make sure she's eating right when she's under stress, so she doesn't tip into mania. And my obsessive-compulsive girlfriend knows not to watch her feet when she walks so she doesn't count the cracks in the sidewalk, and to take her pills. My husband knows to tell me when his knee is bothering him so we can work around it. I don't plan two big events back to back, because thanks to the fibro, I don't have that kind of capacity.

As long as people are honest and open, own their issues, and want to become a better person, then we can probably work with that. If they don't, won't, and can't, then they don't get to be in my life.

Iron Bear  sense you just want judge someone. Based on grammar and spelling. You need to take off the selective reading glasses. Look at the content of what I have said. But then again  who care;s

I do old chap, most assuredly I do, but there are times when such writings become so difficult to accurately decipher, it is pointless to make guesses as to what you are talking about. By the way what gives you the right to state: "sense you just want judge someone. Based on grammar and spelling..."? You have no idea on what basis I make any judgement (which it was not) or any other means of assessing I do. For a long time you have been asked, cajoled  and even begged my others to use a good word processor which will help correct errors you appear to fire off missives probably spelling as you mispronounce words with the result of people either just giving up and ignoring your posts or making comments on them. Bloody Nora, even some here who are far more dyslexic than I am, make use of such things to make their posts more legible. The sad thing is, I believe a number of posts you make are or could be jolly good and enjoyable to read. Since I fear that you will continue on your merry way without regard of those who have to read the posts, I for one am on the verge, like some I know, of giving up trying to work out what you are saying most of the time..

LB

If it were possible to read and understand the content of your post I am sure I aand many others would. For me nothing you have posted in this thread makes any sense at all.
If you want people to read what you post take some time to make it readable.

If so, he's already been answered. First you get the necessary help to be a healthy person and then you won't be attracted to unhealthy people. It really is that simple.

Part of being a healthy person is being someone who can communicate clearly. I would suggest he works on this major issue first.

Hey, let's all sit around stating the obvious and offering unsolicited advice....

Aww - we are being a little tough on the OP, who was only trying to be helpful.

I have some unsolicited advice to offer too - try Googling "Granny" "eggs" "suck".
Seriously tho, BDSM is no different to the rest of life (except it involves more fun and pain).
People are still people (and it's worth remembering that the mightiest dominant is only human(some of them need reminding)).

Relationships are relationships just the same.

Needy people become a burden.

Arseholes are arseholes. But in BDSM you are allowed to insert objects in them ;)

Edited for a typo that was missed in the first proof
