I was expecting to be treated with some dignity. The cafeteria or an office would have been much better than the bathroom.

As one who's worked in a retail environment before, I can say those areas are usually employee-only areas. So what you were expecting is some kind of special dispensation just because you felt you deserved it.

Well I didnt complain and I went to the bathroom, so no. I didnt expect or get special dispensation. But I should have pulled my boob out in the food court where my child deserved to be.

I would hate to take my meals in the bathroom, public bathrooms are always sooo smelly and sticky and nasty

though that could just be the men's rooms, maybe the woman's rooms are much nicer? one can only hope

for god's sakes people, its a tit, its not like they are CONCEIVING a child on the tables by Sbarro's (that food doesnt make anyone want to conceive anyway) I know some people find it to be a sensual thing, but to me a tit is only a sex object during some sort of sexual interaction, as is a hand

I say, let your "girls" free whenever, as a guy I get to run around without my shirt on all the time, I have done it repeatedly in the Gateway (Biggest mall Iin Salt Lake City proper) here, not only have I never got in trouble, nobody has ever said anything

Yes, woman chests look different from (most) man chests, so what? seeing a tit has not ever been known to make your eyes boil in your head, so get over it.

If you're going to throw out a phrase like that, I will have come back with something like I believe your child or any child would DESERVE far better than a Target food court. Yet many parents don't consider that aspect of it.

My question to yall is how do u feel about public breastfeedings? and to woman how would u react if u were asked not to feed your child in public?

I have no problem with public breastfeeding of an infant. It is just natures way of a female human feeding her very young offspring. Why people get so up in arms about a naked breast is beyond me, there is nothing lewd about feeding a child. In other countries/cultures people do not even think twice about breast feeding a child because a woman's breasts haven't been so heavily objectified as sexual as they have here in the US.

If I was breast feeding my child and told to stop, I would not and yes I'd probably end up in court making a big stink about it. If people want to change things and evolve then some people just have to stand up for what they believe in.

You're right, Olive Garden is such a den of terroristic violence. God forbid women take their infants to such a dangerous place [8|] .

Hey, according to my ma you can take an eye out with a breadstick :P

Seriously, I do not understand the security concern, is there a worry that one will abscond with your breast? or is it that nobody will want to steal a baby in broad daylight unless they know that it was fed recently? are is it more that you are afraid of the baby letting go too early and all of the sudden, there's milk on your face ( a fun variation that saves on eggs)

That kind of sarcastic "nothing's going to happen to me" mentality is exactly what makes people such inviting targets for the bad guys.

A saw a story where a reformed a mugger/pick pocket detailed the tricks of his "trade" and he said he never went for the slightly paranoid, self-aware type of person who was always looking around. He ALWAYS went for the woman fumbling with her keys, boppin' along to an ipod or gabbing into a cell phone without a care in the world. And by the time they knew he'd targeted them, he'd already gotten what he was after and they had no clue.

Wow. Talk about your hot topic. I duck out for lunch and here’s a whole new topic already up to seven pages.

Well, here’s my two cents:

It’s a woman feeding her child. What the hell could possibly be wrong with that? It’s not a perve moment (and I’m the kind of guy who walks into telephone poles because I get distracted by a nice – covered! - pair), it’s an “awwww,” moment. If I need a perve moment there a plenty of nice chicks here on Collarme with perve-able profiles.
