my profile is a couples one, though Sir has an individual one of His own. The profile clearly states interest in women only... yet i get CMails from male subs who want my Master to top them. Sir is not homophobic but not at all interested in men so they have no chance at all... doesn't stop them from trying.

I get alot from the states, even though Im pretty sure my profile says local only. I sometimes get a few asking for severe mutilation. I always respond with "sure" Even though I wouldnt do it, and for some reason, they tend to dissapear really fast.

I'd be discouraged if noone around here never made contact with me......

As MRandme says above, it doesnt matter what you stipulate in your profile, someone's going to ignore your words&hope that they're an exception to the rule&try anyway. & I look at the occasional weird email simply as comic relief. Comes with the territory, really. If you put yourself out here, whether seeking or not, you're likely going to attract contact.

It's funny how we basically get little in the way of scams, spams or stupidness. I have always wondered if that is because the profile is a couples.

I don't know, the.dark. I have a singles profile and never get mail except from a few people from the boards. I also don't have anything checked in the "Actively Seeking" section, nor do I list any preferences.

I don't know what I did but since I never get messages, I must have done something right. (Think it's the wedding picture with Lumus?) I just have one person who about once a month just sends me his Yahell ID. Nothing else, no hello, just his ID.

Of course, the flip side of this is that I never get the fun ones either.....

Same I have no preferences listed but have Actively seeking friends. No photos. I think pics must be what gets a response.
I get the very occasional "testing the waters" email from strangers, but they have always been polite.
I don't get spam
Apart from that its forum posters discussing different threads or chatting.
The only harassing mail I have received was a humorous one sent by a fellow forum poster after I complained in another thread that I never receive HNG mail. (pretty damn funny)

i have come to realize that some people define "friend only" differently than i do. i, too, am with someone and do not have a profile picture. My most common email is, "sexy pic, IM me."
