Gawd I love threads like this!! How fortunate I am that I chanced to get online tonight of all nights. I so enjoy at my mature age being told how immature I am by someone young enough to be my granddaughter. Not to muddy the waters, but this guy is kinda curvy. I usually say that I'm built like a swimmer. Unfortunately, to borrow a line from a friend, the swimmer happens to be Shamu the killer whale.

The word curvy is used because words like big, fat, pig, hippo, elephant and slob have an unkind ring to them. Why do we say Gay instead of Fag or Disabled instead of Gimp? Possibly because some of us don't actually think it's bad to be Gay, Disabled or Curvy. Acceptance is as acceptance does. I, myself, living an easily criticized and much maligned lifestyle, prefer to think of other people with the kindness and openness I'd like in return.
