I am positive I am not going to be very PC here.
TexasMaam's explanation of the situation at a game ranch sounds reasonable to Me. In addition, it was reported that law enforcement was aware and that Cheney had an appointment to make a statement the following morning. That was good enough for Me.
I am not a hunter...I do enjoy fishing once in a while if someone else will bait the hook. (I know, I know, I am such a girl!) I live in Arizona, and own a gun. I can and will shoot it if I ever need to. Otherwise I keep up with target practice. I am the proud friend of one of the many Minutemen who are patrolling our borders.
Just because I prefer not to shoot My meat, doesn't mean I don't eat it. My ex was an avid hunter. I tolerated it, and we always ate any game he brought home. In Arizona there is a "draw" and if you are not picked, you don't get to hunt. It is tailored to keep the animal population in balance. They know where the deer are. Not so different from a large preserve for safe hunting. It is not up to Me to agree or disagree with Cheney's recreational activities. He was doing nothing illegal.
Candy, are you a strict vegetarian? If so, I absolutely accept your quoted comment. If not, then I must question your reasoning. Just because one goes to the grocery store for their meat or fish, doesn't mean it magically appeared there for our consumption. Someone raised and slaughtered that protein.

It's not the press I was talking about. It was the cops. Everywhere I've lived a shooting, accidental or not, must be reported in a timely manner to the police.

Sounds to me like the VP wanted to avoid a sobrity test. As for his "conditions and meds," I've rarely encountered boozers who let objective hazards keep them out of a bottle.

You obviously do not take heart medications, blood pressure medications, pulse rate regulators, statins, and warfarin, or you would know that Cheney could not possibly drink.

Texas Maam

My daily intake includes Lipitor 20mg 1x
Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg 1x
Oxycontin 7.5 mg 1x
IC Lisinopril 40 mg 1x
Asprin 81mg 2 cap 1x
Vitamin C 500 mg 1 cap 1x
Vitamin E 400 iu 1 cap 1x
B complex 1 cap 1x
Multvitamin 1 cap 1x
Flonase (1-2 sprays daily)
Hydrocortisone Val 0.2% CRM 15GM 2x

I have a pretty good grasp of what can and cannot be done with these medication.

Personally, i do not even fish as it seems so unfair to oft times have to rip the hook from the innocent little devils mouth. However, the moment the grocery store announces that we are required to go and catch our own - or there is no more eating - no cow, deer, fish, et al., would be safe from this one. Feed me little ones! Feed me and feed my loved ones too. Give, the ultimate sacrafice so that we may live ... the abundant life we so deserve. Such is your lot for being born a fish you know.

As for the V.P. - the fact that this story has gone on so long - especially in light of what all is happening in this world is rather amazing to me. Or, is it going on so long because of all that is going on in the world? It was an accident after all. i mean - even the "victim" says so.

So let me picture this so i am clear - a man is the Vice President of the U.S.A. and he shoots and wounds his friend in a hunting accident, and with all his security and what not, he is afraid of the local small town sheriff deputy? So he is hiding out for 4 days or something? Right. Had the deputy shown in a timely manner, it would likely be the lead Secret Service agent that he would be interviewing. Him and the "victim" of course.

Personally just glad the poor chap did not die. This story would be all we’d hear about for the next three years. Would have made some excellent conspiracy theorist fodder though <if not already>.

sounds like:
hi LDL
Hypertensive
low adrenaline
allergies
and pain

i hate doctors.

i had hypertension too.
i was unhappy with the doctors who threw 5 perscriptions at me costing over 400 bucks a month telling me i woudl most likely be taking it for life.

Well i was a bit angered at that so i did my own little investigation.

i discovered that i do not uptake magnesium properly.

So what was the cure? Well i pay $2.79 for magnesium that lasts me for 3 freakin years.

So much for doctors, they are wonderful at putting in a new heart but do nothing to improve ones quality of life and are nothing more than a bandaid dispenser for everything else.

allergies are usually a result of a highly active immune system, you probly are rarely sick and if you do get flus every one else is in bed and you feel a bit off.

i know several people with allergies who lack a vitamin uptake, usually one of the b's. like b1 for instance in which cocarboxylaze should be taken in addition to your normal vitamin regime.

you did not list any minerals on your list. the vitamins require a good mineral intake as well as the trace minerals to work properly as they all work together. and there is a herb that for the life of me i cant remember that will reduce LDL cholesteral by 14% in most people tested on. and 50 bucks will buy you a 2 year supply of that as well.

one thing to remember however. if you get low cholesteral you are dead, and the worst that can happen with hi cholesteral is the possibility of coating your viens, which is not always true and there are foods you can eat that actually clean the gum from cholesteral off of your veins!

i hate taking drugs personally and i now feel great having found the real solutions rather than a 400 buck per month bandaid!

we are all bug food when we die, so the bugs eat us, then the fish ate the bugs, only for us to eat the fish again. sounds fair to me.

My point was that Tex was jumping to a competely unwarrented conclusion that I was unfamiliar with those drugs and their effects.

With luck, I won't have to take them much longer. I'll be dead. Of course, my DC will read natural causes not "walking in front of the Vice President".

Unless Carnivore picks up this message...

John,

I do not see warfarin, or Coumadin, on your list.
That particular bloodthinner is NOT one anybody in Cheney's condition would be self desctructive enough to drink booze with.

With all due respect TexasMaam....there's really no way you can be 100% certain of that. Pretty sure, yes, hopeful, yes, but 100% certain, no. No one really knows what another human being does behind closed doors except they themselves, and whatever deity you want to include.

Considering the self-destructive behavior I've seen in my life I'd hardly consider this in the top 10 percent. I recall one alkie who was in the hospital with burns from setting his bed on fire and falling asleep. Guess what, he'd had a friend smuggle cigarettes and booze into the hospital for him.
