If I were still looking, what I would do is write something like "Hello <Name>, I hope you're doing well today.  Your picture and your profile heading caught my interest, but I sure would love to know more about You to see if we're at all compatible or not.  I'd enjoy hearing about some of your vanilla interests, what's important to you, and so on."  And then I'd tell some about myself too, even though I do say a chunk in my profile.  Of course if the person did talk about their interests in their profile, I would write directly about those, esp vanilla interests.  Otherwise they'll think all you are is a wanker, and who wants that?  That's what I'd do anyway.  Good luck.

Whats up with that? Why would you respond that way to the one thing you specifically say you are seeking?

i would have liked two more sentences added:  "I like to [insert non-kink activity here].  Have you ever done/do you enjoy doing this?"

compliment, asked about her, told about yourself, asked a question that places the two of you in the same setting. a reasonable opener for the amount of information given.

You'll have to understand that most people, when they write these things, don't really mean them universally.

What they really mean is that it applies to everyone except (or applies only to) the magical Dommy-Dom with the body of Fabio, the smirk of Johnny Depp and the accent of Antonio Banderas who will write to them (based off little information) a magical collection of words that will sweep them off their feet for how personally "true" the words are (you know...like those horoscope thingies).

Okay, well....so maybe that visual doesn't apply to everyone's wants, but the point is they're just waiting to be approached by the right person with the right words at the right time and aren't really interested (usually) in genuine friendly talking. They're only 'playing' the site the way everyone else plays the lottery.

Nice job there oldtimer. Come to the submissive's board and talk about how most are ignorant that they don't respond to emails from strangers basically and show no courtesty. Who said they had to? Who said it was the right thing to do?

Based on the evidence... which is based on being a woman around a site like this and years of my own experience as well as knowing what other women are going through... you are a fine examle of why many do not respond, besides the other reasons, which are valid.

They respond with a no thank you and then get called names and are told they are rude, have no curtesy and a bunch of other bs. One email leads to another and a no thank you can turn into having to block them because they will not stop emailing, bashing, begging and so forth.

An email to anyone is not a command performance.

I would think that an old timer might know how difficult it can be for a woman in these here parts.  Silly me for expecting that someone be curtious enough to examine things and consider why someone may act a certain way. Silly, silly me...
