Well many Dominants/Masters are sadists... they get off/thrive on a subs/slaves' pain. Its also just a fun way to play. In my case, i enjoy spaking so it isn't a worth punishment; sometimes i crave some form of corporal punishment when I really mess up, but for the most part, its simply communicating, stern words, and His disappointment that is the bigger punishment.

However other Dominants aren't into punishment/pain. If you aren't either, there is a Dom out there for you. They are NOT all cut from the same cloth

uuuum.... i prefer not to be punished. but i do enjoy being beat. big differance. im a semi massocist, She's a sadyst. punishment, isnt nearly the same thing. for a major massocist, not being beat could constitute punishment.

Some doms are more masochistic than others, but generally I have found the greater majority of doms hope we DONT mess up, and only put rules in place to help mold us as subs into what they deem appropriate or worthy of their attentions. Generally, if you make it clear upfront that corporal punishment is not something you want regularly, you'll chase off those who are looking for just that.

i'm never spanked as punishement. my punishment is seen Master upset because of my behavior. He hates when His girls are bad , if He's displeased then he cant enjoy His slave.
i do get spanked and hair pulled and slapped but its because it pleases Him and being His property, He doesnt need an excuse.
i call Him Master and capitalize because i like it and He allows it. its not required . He does like pleasing His girls too.
