CaringandReal -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/26/2009 6:57:47 PM)

I am nothing which aspires to be something someday. When I have to give a "what," I say, "former slave."

I can't help but think there's a secondary/deeper question here vasha. Would you care to spill the beans?

much as ild like to Sir, im afraid i dont feel comfterable doing so.  in any event, im not entirally certian what it is myself. yet.  maybe i should, maybe i dont want to... yet.  *shrug*

the general concensious seems to be "i am me " makes ... a lot of sense now that i think deeper into that aspect.  the more i experiance, the deeper my understanding of how limiting terms, definitions and such are.  there's a lot more to it. almost always.

vasha -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/27/2009 1:25:59 AM)

vasha my question for you would be, why do you disagree with your Master's vision of you? do you think he does not see the truth, the real you, or is it more that you do not accept or wish to accept what you are?

Actually ... my Owner possibly see's me more accurately then i even see myself.  since my own perceptoins are collored by blantent likes, and espcially dislikes.  im always "the real me". cant be any other way in truth.
as for the why... we just disagree slightly on some definitions in fundimentals.  i begin to realise however, that it doesnt even matter. i am what i am, she accepts me, im hers (to borrow lilone's very elloquant way to put it), and that's more then enough. :)

BTW vasha, is that secondary picture on your profile a black panther?  It's beautiful.

thankyou, yes i really love that one.  feel a real affinity with it.  maybe cause i was born with the cherokee sign of the panther. dono   =)

i knew someone was gona ask this...  the why, is simple..but complicated.  i find the term "slave" uncomfterable. always have.  not that i make a huge issue out of it.  bond-mate, that's differant.  but then, a lot seems to be. or maybe not... since few fit strict definitions anyhow, most peoples and relatoinships are unique... as are we.

angeIic -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/27/2009 6:19:28 PM)

Oh.. uhm... I am my Master's slave... I am submissive to him only...

It's complicated really... I respond submissively to a mere handful of people, and I'm definitely not someone who has 'serving' ingrained in me... I'm not a natural host and am rubbish at seeing to other's needs...

I have been told by some that I 'don't have a submissive bone in my body' and by others that I'm 'borne to it'... Who knows...

I've gone from vehemently denying being submissive, to finding out that there was something there, but not daring to admit it to my then lover because I thought he'd head for the hills... but all the dynamics of D/s were already there... it turned out we just didn't have the vocabulary to 'label' it as such...

I submitted after having known him for about a year and a half, so it wasn't something either of us rushed into.. we'd talked about the D/s dynamic for about 4 months before that...

Through gaining trust (I had really severe trust issues and still struggle...) and realising our desires were uncanningly well matched, I realised that there was nothing I wouldn't trust him to do to me and I became his slave... I wanted to be... I offered to be... and he accepted me...

All a very gradual transmission, but that's where I'm at today... His slave, pure an simple... *smiles*

Not sure it really explains or answers your question properly though...! :s

rkreilic -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/28/2009 12:41:35 AM)

I'm more submissive than dominant, but I am a switch. I am his Baby, his mate, his love, his mistress...his pet...It doesn't matter what words we use, I am that I am really. He can call me whatever he wants as long as it's not perceived as an insult. I don't take well to those. But lately I've been his little one...his baby and we've exploring him as a Daddy Dom which is very nice, I think. He's still learning to be dominant of course as he is a switch just like his baby.

GabrielleSlave -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/28/2009 3:31:57 AM)

Master called me slave from day one.  This has always felt right to me, not simply because He gave me that label, but because it seemed to answer a deeply underlying question about who i am.

I feel like I'm a pretty ordinary guy...I know lots wouldn't agree with that, who enjoys / thrives being anothers submissive slave.
I've always been kinda shy socially, but open up as I get to know people.

I am Spartacus....

timmaygirl -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/28/2009 11:47:58 AM)

I am a plethora of things but they are all his .. i am his baby, his pita (pain in the ass), his brat, his lover, his bitch. I am lucky ... he likes alllll my aspects, even the crazy parts lol.

afterforever -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/28/2009 2:51:29 PM)

Like everyone else I am a million different things, but I'll stick to the BDSM. I would call myself submissive because I feel a constant need to make everyone else happy, and am very sexually submissive and masochistic. But there are certain things I wouldn't give up for a Master, eg university, friends, so to me slave is going too far. There are also situations where I am perfectly happy to make decisions and take a leading role, and I'll need to do so much more when I finally qualify and become a doctor.

However my ex thought of me as his slave and I liked it, even if I didn't think it was strictly the case. He said I only went to university because he wanted me to, and he could have stopped me any time. Who knows how that fight really would have ended.

Rhembein -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/28/2009 4:34:17 PM)

I am me. And 'me' is His. Whatever He chooses to label me after that is completely up to Him.

Prior to Him, I referred to myself as submissive.

MstrNslave -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/30/2009 4:52:19 PM)

I am submissive by nature...is WHO and WHAT I am instinctually. However....I am slave to my Master. For me, BIG difference. You can not control being submissive....your Master chooses to make you slave. Slave is a series of actions...submission is a state of being. IMHO

Rainfire -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (6/30/2009 5:18:16 PM)

Like others have said, simply put, I am His and His alone. I am submissive with some slave tendencies (which is a shock for those who've known me any length of time as I was Dominant for many years and absolutely HATED it when some idiots would assume I was slave), I am His sub, lover, concubine, partner, wife, pet, little girl, friend and sometimes sounding board when He needs to bounce ideas off someone. I am whatever HE needs me to be. I am quiet yet loud, weak yet strong, I can bend without breaking as long as He is my support. He is my Love, as I am His....

For anyone else, I'm just a bossy bitch with a mouthy bad attitude. [:D]

You're right...each relationship is unique and you will find a hundred different definititons by people who have different ideas about what each label means. What's most important is that your Mistress and you find common ground on what mutually works for both of you.

sunshinemiss -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (7/1/2009 3:49:54 AM)

I am becoming the person that I am.

Eivarden -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (7/17/2009 8:23:35 PM)

I'm not sure what to call me.

I view myself rather weak emotionally, but I make sure to keep it hidden, and covered up by acting weird/crazy. So I am attracted by Girls who are Confident. Where I'm not. I'm not attracted to arrogance, which commonly comes with Confidence (or at least it's just an act.) So I shy away from some things like
"Slave" or even "Sub" but I commonly use sub anyways.

I don't actually like sex. I only like sexual acts that please the girl. And since I view sexual intercourse as "sharing" the physical pleasure, it tends to turn me off. (among many things)

I like the concept of being tied up and used as a toy for their pleasure, but since I'm a male... It hasn't worked out like that in reality.

In the few situations I've ever been tied up, the woman I was with, was trying to please me, which kills the concept to me.

Slave sounds kinky and all, but I couldn't do it anywhere near full time. (I could only think of one example that could convince me otherwise)

I'd also love to be able to spend time together with normal hobbies outside of D/s oriented things. Which I commonly look for a partner who shares the same interests.

I almost wanna consider myself damn near Vanilla... if it wasn't for the fact I'm willing to go to certain extremes, under the right conditions.

If there was anything I'd like to label myself as, I want to say.... hmmm.... Pet?

caelestis -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (7/17/2009 10:15:14 PM)

I am a submissive, with all the potential to become His slave.

petmonkey -> RE: what are you? and more importantly, why (7/18/2009 9:54:14 AM)

subby servile human pet, His best friend, His significant other ( a term i dislike--so unromantic, but suits as a definition), second-in-command & Woman.  Pretty much in that order.

spelling.
