You’re not the only one. I had one of those famous Farrah posters in my bedroom when I was a teenager (much to my mother’s disapproval). Many a lonely night it kept me… “entertained.”

I think maybe tonight I’ll put my copy of Logan’s Run in the DVD player.

Rest in Peace Farrah. You brought joy and… shall we say… “self understanding” … to an entire generation of young men but you were so much more than that.

We all had that poster.  She was hotter then sliced bread.   She made that hair style popular.

bad actress ..but watchable.

She was pretty bad in the begining but - like good wine - she improved with age.

A shame.. I really liked her in The Burning Bed and Small Sacrifices.

The boys drooled (and other stuff) over the poster. The girls tried to be like her.

Very few of us were able to actually DO that hairdo. I was not one of them, but I tried..........badly.

And yeah, I just made the boss feel old. He had the poster.

What I liked about Farrah was she was innocent natural beauty...she didnt have to try..

I never thought of her as a serious actor until I saw The Burning Bed. It was for her, what Born On The 4th Of July was for Tom Cruise. They both forfeited their "beautiful" image to bring controversial subjects to light. It was shocking to see the Farrah Fawcett without make-up. The poster was what brought her national attention, but it was her performance in The Burning Bed that I will always remember her by.

Rest in peace beautiful lady.

I'm one of those few who actually Could pull off that hairstyle, and did for 3 years during the late 70s/early 80s - and recently (about a week ago) was going through the huge box of family fotos and located my 8th grade school photo where I sported exactly that.

Between certain recent celeb deaths like this one, and going through all the old family photos, and having my 25 year reunion for highschool coming up in less than a month... I'm Definately feeling OLD lately.

OK I guess I am going to have to be the oddball here. While I liked Farrah, I was too busy drooling over Kate Jackson to pay her that much attention. It is sad that she died and right after Ryan had proposed. They were a great couple.

Agreed, Marc, she did get better. And remained beautiful as she aged.

i saw a thing earlier where she was reading something she had written to her son about she would always be there.  she broke down reading it, then i broke down watching it.

she was a class act to the end.  i hope her family can eventually find the peace she now has.

Something that struck me as I was watching the news story about her......she was born in 1947.  That means, when she made that poster in roughly 1976, she was almost 30!  I guess I always thought she was about 19 or 20 at the time....she certainly had the body!   In today's world, seems most of the focus is on the teen queens and the 20-something skanks wearing thongs and showing things we never wanted to see in the first place.

Farrah was awesome.
