I think we should have a "collargang" sig, like a gang tatt,

"Jah MON it NOW, subbies!"

You are so not right, but I have to chuckle.
I think it might work, be forceful...get Blaakmaan to help you say it!
JAH MON IT SUBBIES!!!

You will have them falling at your feet.

To really be HOT you have to get the dredlocks.
White guys with dredlocks are totally hot.
Look at the lead singer of the Counting Crows.
I have been lusting after him for years and years.
I would do HIM, deep sighs.

YouTube - Counting Crows - Mr. Jones (Official)

You didn't mention FUNK, you wanted White Guys with Dreds.
Now, I need to think of White Guys with Dred locks that play FUNK?
that's tough!
Most White guys with Dreds want to play alternative or Jamaican style music.

Ughh.

Gimme REAL funk, gimme The Gap Band from 1983!  (I saw them live, and Blaakman will tell you, there was a REASON why they opened for Morris Day and the Time, hunnychile!)

Saw the first one live, FANTASTIC, in '83, saw the second live TWICE in '83.

with Prince, in fact.

But I ain't tryin' to bring Prince in thru no backdoor.

'cuz Prince is too much of a Princess to know what to do with Chaka Kahn's backdoor.  Or Macy Gray's (she gots an ONION, ghetto azz badonkadonk).

Only thinhg Prince ever do right was have Vanity 6 and Morris day open for him in '83 (saw it) so I could see VANITY's backdoor..

Bruthah is a booooootayyyyyman, give hima big ol' break ten times.

FR

Interesting that the only racist comment I saw on this thread came from Blaackmaan.

To all those that are "grieving" for Michael Jackson please explain to me exactly how his death is going to affect you in the future. None of you have met him or knew him as a friend. He is not your family.

I find it quite repulsive to see people treat his death as some life changing event. Wait until your parents die or you have to cope with the death of your own child. Then you will see what death is about.

Jeesh people grow up. Ok he was a talented singer / songwriter but seriously your life will go on just the same without him.

I lust after chicks with butts like Cherokee and Ms Cleo!  They go to Michael Jackson concerts!  I could have met them there, wooed them there, then paddled and assfucked them after being there!

Now he's dead, I can't!

so THAT'S how it affects me!

NARF!!

It's interesting that you have assumed ownership of other people's feelings and feel you have the right to dictate to others how they respond to someone's death.

Newsflash. You don't.

I'm not one of those people 'grieving' for Michael Jackson,, but having been in London when Diana Princess of Wales died and also in Poland when Pope John Paul II died this reaction to Michael Jackson's death by some is not only understandable, it is also human. I'm not one for emotional displays or excessive emotion myself, but I do understand that some people do feel such emotions and I feel they have just as much right to express those emotions and feelings as others have of not having such feelings or emotions.

You don't have to have met someone to feel you have some sort of relationship with them. I am not a musician or performer, but someone connected with the performing arts and I know that those relationships between audience and performer or artist and inspiration or influence are just as real as the relationships you have with your parents or children.

This only makes me wonder how you feel about someone's death with whom you don't have much of an established relationship. But let me tell you that yes, doctors and nurses are affected when their patients die, police officers also are affected by deaths of people with whom they don't have any sort of established relationship, need I go on?

Before you start preaching to others how they are to react to someone's death might I suggest you take a bit of time and trouble and learn a bit more about humanity.

If you honestly believe that the "relationship" you had with Princess Diana or Pope John Paul is as real as a parent/child relationship then I grieve for you.

Being affected by a person's death is not the same as feeling a personal loss.

I'm sad Michael is gone, I'm sad Farrah and Ed are gone too, but there is a world of difference between how that makes me feel and how I felt when people who I had actual relationships with passed.

It's been three days and he hasn't risen again.

That makes him a man, not a God.

Jah Mon means 'I heartily agree my friend' in Jamaica.

RIP the hype.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Michael Jackson Mania/the good the bad and the disturbing (6/29/2009 8:30:59 AM)

Then I don't see how the hell Jah Mon applied properly/saliently/cogently/in any true context in the lyrics as used in "Bad".

LotusSong -> RE: Michael Jackson Mania/the good the bad and the disturbing (6/29/2009 8:35:29 AM)

FAST REPLY

I know Joseph Jackson is old man and "greiving".. but his interview on the red carpet at the BET awards just makes me sick. First, he glosses over the questions of how his family is doing then introduces his lawyer and plugs his recording company and "really important". He also said he wished people had recognized him while he was alive! He has got to be kidding! What would have been an proper "recognition"?

I've always took it as "Jam ON"!

Maybe Jackson had the term explained to him by Ali G, a white man pretending to be Jamaican and not too well informed on the subject.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Michael Jackson Mania/the good the bad and the disturbing (6/29/2009 8:52:17 AM)

Now a straight man parading as a gay man and moderately informed on the subject.

no fan of whiteboys in dreadlocks pretending to have rhythm here, btw.
