yeah but te train from Bris to Jupiters is less than 2 hours...

you can gamble on 2 to one borrowing systems.

every dollar of mone you gamble with, if you win, is two minutes of FOERCE tonguelashing.

lose, TWO MINUTES of wooden paddle or lexan ruler, no rubbing, no break, no anything but "owwwwwwwwwwwwww".

Forced tonguelashing? I think I found a new kink [:D]

That said, unless the Spank Fairy leaves a ticket to Brisbane under my pillow, I think I'm pretty safe.... from you, anyway [8D]

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 1:43:34 AM)

Yeah but you'll be pondering Brisbane for a while tonight anyway...
\
\and checking up on Fortitude Valley later after that even if you don't admit it.

*satan's little smile helper inserted here*

WyldHrt -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 1:46:48 AM)

I miss Brisbane, actually. We don't have bugs on the barbie in Cali [:D]

ETA- If I did venture to Aus though, I think Miss M has first claim. [8D]

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 2:00:30 AM)

Oh yeah, like I'd be the one to LIMIT your experiences here before getting to me.  right.

I'm a capitalist, not a conservative.

naughtiness is like excercise. Miss M would "warm you up".

. . . .  For giving us in the UK Hannah fjoeken Montana.  Are you still getting us back for giving you the Spice Girls?  Is that what it is?

Absolutely.  Now we're just trying to figure out how to get Canada back for Bryan Adams and Celiene Dion.

Sorry but we do not accept returns.....[:)]

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 5:20:42 AM)

The Office and Blackadder don't go down well in the US

They went over very well with me.
Blackadder was a staple on PBS in NY when i was growing up...that, 'Butterflies' 'Are You being Served' 'Man About the House' 'Keeping Up Appearences' 'Fawlty Towers'...my Friday and Saturday late night fix.

And i still can't bear to watch the American version of 'The Office'...though i've seen it have some funny moments, it's just not the same.

Though i will admit and lose all credibility with the following....i was a fan of 'Footballer's Wives'...so there you have it; my dirty little secret.

eta....Don't judge me people!!!!!!

Yes - what Iron said. I LOVE those shows (and I refuse to watch The Office.)  I can handle 'Keeping up Appearances' in small doses and I've always liked Eddie Izzard LOL. I'm addicted to any PBS that gives me British shows. BallyKissAngel is also one of my favorites but it comes across as a bit surreal at times. I will always choose Foyle's War over Fawlty Towers. Ms. Marple, Hercule Poirot, Penelope Keith and Dr. Watson can all come hang out at my house.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 7:02:30 AM)

yeah, Foyle's War, with that scrumptious freckled Honeysuckle Weeks!

(sounds a bit like a 1970's porn name but...)

MsFlutter -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 7:04:51 AM)

LMAO - I've read all the pages. Very very funny!

I am so very very very very tired of Hannah/Miley, Paris, Britney,  Posh, Becks, anything Jonas - you can keep the whole lot. Would you have an 'in' with the ownership of White Island (NZ)? Could just air-drop them all there.

NorGent and HPH - thank you - your rants have been very entertaining :)

GreedyTop -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 7:09:59 AM)

ANother UK show I enjoy is Monarch of the Glen (I miss having BBC-America..*sigh*)

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Thank you Americans (6/30/2009 7:25:48 AM)

well NorGent and I appreciate history a wee bit much.

But just imagine OUR version of the Mighty Boosh (seasons 2 and 3).

another FAB show, by the way.  Love the Eels bit.
