Our culture in the states makes much of what can be called "bad body odor" and "bad breath" - sadly, what is often meant by those terms are in fact the very natural smells that our bodies produce all day long 24/7/365 some of which relate directly to our bodily excretions.

Old acquaintances at Club Fuck in Los Angeles used to greet each other with "You smell too clean - you need some sweat on you." Very sound advice...

So I was thinking about all of the things that not only do not bother me, but often kind of turn me on instead. I am heterosexual, so I often think of the ways that a woman's body smells or tastes. A woman doesn't have to be freshly bathed, just clean is well enough. Personally I can enjoy the way most people smell until perhaps the third day of not bathing, maybe even longer depending on what is under discussion. I could probably get away with longer still if certain parts of the body were refreshed periodically, it doesn't have to be a complete head to toe bathing ritual - which is why it's a pity the bidet is not more popular here. Anyway, here's my list of good female and related smells for good or ill:

1. back of the neck along the hairline
2. lips and mouth
3. kitty
4. fresh sweat between the breasts and at the small of the back
5. coffee, wine, chocolate, or fruit breath

So help me out here. Everyone can play. Gender (sex) is irrelevant. All thoughts entertained and are entertaining.

What's on your list?

I know you are being serious, and please forgive me for being silly, but I'm thinking of "schweaty balls". The SNL skit.

I actually hate most all artificial smells, perfumes, colognes, deodorants, lotions, shower gels, all of it. I'm EXTREMELY picky on what I use for myself and will tell a partner whether their products are attractive or not for me. It's very rare that I prefer a fake product smell over someones natural smell (and everyone has a natural smell).

I like vanilla, cinnamon, and fresh roses. I can take evergreen and fresh fruits if it's a VERY light scent.

Oh and I LOVE the smell of my own pussy.

I also imprint memories and get feelings on places and people based on their smell. I have stopped dating people because their smell was simply non-compatible for me.

I love a person's natural scent. Quite often I would switch pillows with my ex Master because I slept better inhaling his scent that he left on them. Or I would wear one of his shirts around the house that he had previously worn for the same reason.

Now that said...personal hygiene is EXTREMELY important to me. I am a shower fanatic myself and can't stand to go a day without one...most times a couple a day. I like for my partners to be clean also, although I don't expect them to be as fanatical about it as I am. The three day thing that you mentioned though would most likely be a little more than I could bear.

Funny you brought this thread up today. Last night I was at a concert and had the displeasure of having a guy stand right next to me who smelled as though he had not bathed in a month....ewwwwww. It was more than B.O., it was that moldy kind of smell. THAT is not an appealing odor and goes far beyond the natural pheromones that attract us to each other.

I have declined making out with someone for this reason myself. I just can't go there if the chemistry is off that way.

ROFLMAO............. Chaingang........... it's been awhile sense seeing that show... thank you so much for that link!!!......... Great way to spend the rest of the day... thinking of Pete Schweddy... and his balls!.... LMAO

As for your post..... I prefer natural smells as well... though there are times.. you put the right cologne.. aftershave... on the right man... OMG>... (drool)

But I always did prefer the smell of man that works hard and sweats.... sometimes they even taste good.... after a few kisses... licks... it's off to the shower for me to pamper them... wash them good... and then really ..... well never mind... LOL

Personal hygiene is very important to me as well..... I don't like to recieve as much as some.. because of being self conscience..... so I always wash...(even if it's a good old bitch bath).. before entering bedroom... just in case.. he's ready to.... well never mind.. LOL

I don't like cologne or perfume, but I like a clean smell. On women, I like the light scent of like a scneted lotion. Warm vanilla sugar is my favorite, although there are others. Actually, I like the same on a man as long as it is not floral. If I snuggle into his neck and it smells of light citrus or rosemary mint or a vanilla...mmmm. I just want to eat him up.

I can not tolerate kissing someone that has been smoking or drinking coffee. Ug. I don't smoke and just drink mocha-chino type things -- but I am fantatical about brushing my teeth after anything remotely coffee like. But I love the smell of coffee brewing.

In the right circumstances I am okay with sweat, but it is not normally something I enjoy (especially that ass crack sweat smell.) I once had a partner really into MY sweat, so I would sometimes wash off the deoderant a few hours before I knew we would be tumbling around. I do like the smell of most pussies, including my own -- except during that unfortunate 4-5 day stretch during the month. Blah!

I'm a ditto on the smoke thing...and most alcohol as well. Blech. I also have an irrational disgust for someone who has just brushed their teeth, no way.

I actually do on others, but not on myself. I am convinced I have a bizarre body chemistry that manufactures the foulest aroma EVER during that time span - but only since the procedure I had to prevent any more short people. I suspect there is a connection.

Opps. I believe I have shared too much.

I concur on the beer breath though,a nd most hard liquor as well. I am okay with toothpaste taste though. As long as it is not smoky beer flavored toothpaste.

I am really scent focused.. and tend to use natural oils and and chemical free, hand made soaps etc so I can smell the way I like.. "real girl" plus one of the following, rose vanilla sandlewood allspice aniseed amber or honey/beeswax depending on my mood and my partners tastes (you should see my stash of bathroom junk)it is not I dislike the way I smell but I like to add notes to to my natural scent to express myself or perk me up ....nothing like some aniseed to make a drab day better!
I like the smell of "clean" sweat on others ....nothing older than 24hrs but only on some one I click with...if I like them they smell like clean sweat and honey or clean sweat and light musk ....one person I dated smelled and tasted of rock melon! and she never ever wore scent or used soap if she could avoid it (skin issues)

You know, I never seem to fit into the group on this website.

I have a complete, and unabashed clean freak fetish. I can't stand to be anything but totally clean at all times, and can't be with someone that isn't pretty close to that standard.

I like to use fruit scented oils and match my undies to the scent ... peach scented and peach colored undies ... lime scented and lime green colored undies, etc ... You can even find some very nice scented/flavored body oils, but they are expensive and don't have as big a variety as scented alone. (for obvious reasons ... have you ever tasted a rose?)

I don't like the smell of "guy." Guys smell like feet. Good cologne for men is cheap ... go buy some. If you just played football ... DO NOT HUG ME!!! Go take a shower, put on cologne and things are good. There is a reason that the breath freshening industry is thriving ... please do your part to ensure it's continued growth!!!

While you are at it guys ... shave your back already! Chest hair rocks. Hairy arms and legs are the bomb. Back hair that pokes out from under the collar of your shirt ... just hand me a barf bag right now.

Another thing ... ... if you are expecting a blow job, you may want to have that dishwashing scrub pad attached to your abdomen, trimmed down to the point where it doesn't take a layer of skin off my face while we are having fun.

Chaingang, I think this is the sexiest post you've ever made!
I loooooooove a man who likes to get intense and dirty.
Don't anybody get me wrong, we have to start out clean, and I absolutely love a soft beautiful scent on a man (as boy's who've dated me know), but I definitely don't want to slow down or feel him slowing down because we don't smell as fresh/perfumy as when we started. M

I perfer men who smell natural. Cologne has always had a strong overpowering smell that just seems to make me want to throw up

I also like the way sweat smells on a man...kind of sexy and primative in a way...hard to explain but it's really a sexual turn on.

Very funny. I dislike my aroma on first and last day (of menses), but love the in between days, weird.
I also don't mind the smell of some liquor, but not all... If he's my boy, he won't drink things I think smell fowl anyway. M

Scents are important in bonding and imprinting.

My previous girlfriend enjoyed the scent behind and under my testicles. Sniffing my testes was kind of foreplay for her.

Years earlier, a New York girlfriend liked my armpits, in fact, she used to lick them.

One thing I cannot abide is a smoker's smell… or taste. And don't think the cigarette 'taste' is only in the mouth.

Cigarette smell is very omnipresent and unappealing. I hate to stigmatize people for something like that, but I think smoking is a filthy and silly habit. I just cannot abide it.

FWIW, you can actually tell all kinds of things from how people smell - even what they eat. I can certainly tell a meat eater from a vegan by sense of smell alone. I happen to be a meat eater myself, but that's not the point...
