has anyone used Chloroform during a scene? if so what are the pros and cons? any health risks ect? any information would be helpful

DesFIP -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 1:30:24 PM)

Risk: Death and jail for first degree murder.

Just out of morbid curiosity, where do you propose to legally obtain it?

subtlebutterfly -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 1:33:07 PM)

chloroform kills your braincells..if you want it sure have fun we won't stop ya..just don't connect it to bdsm 'cause it certainly goes against the first 2 in "safe sane consensual"

BreePix -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 1:35:49 PM)

it can be bought online legally at any chemical supply store

afterforever -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 1:36:57 PM)

Does bad and nasty things to your heart too. Not worth it IMO.

Other than dying?

It's a terrible idea. It's a poison, and the reason it's no longer used as a surgical anesthetic is that it was killing too many patients. Has this nasty habit of causing fatal tachycardia. Aside from that, it's a known carcinogen, causes miscarriages in laboratory animals, and if not stored properly can convert to phosgene, which probably sounds familiar because it was one of the more lethal varieties of poison gas used during WWI. You might want to rethink this particular fantasy.

Hey, anything's worth checking into. You never know until you ask! And at least the two of you did that, which a lot of people don't have the sense to do. Better luck with the next one...

BreePix -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 1:47:14 PM)

yes thank you very much all of you it was really helpful information

afterforever -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 1:48:32 PM)

If you're that determined to try a scene like that, maybe use ether instead. Still the possibility of horrible side effects but less fatal.

BreePix -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 1:49:52 PM)

ok will have to look into that thank you

Viridana -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 2:57:21 PM)

There is a reason why chloroform and ether aren't used anymore for anaesthesia. The therapeutic window is narrow, dosage is difficult and side effects are very common and unforeseen.

Seriously, don't try it. It's not like in the movies you know........

DesFIP -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 3:02:33 PM)

Death from ether is also a high health risk. Honestly, he wants to have you totally passed out while he uses you, yes? He doesn't need to go to the extreme of probably killing you. Make you stay awake for a couple of nights straight followed by 2/3 Tylenol PMs. Maybe with a NyQuil chaser. Won't do anything but leave you groggy as hell for a day or two following.

Important thing here is that he needs someone else to keep you awake while he gets his sleep so he's sharp and doesn't pass out himself while you're in a hogtie, for instance. Because long term in a hogtie you risk suffocation.

Do it when you have a week off so you don't have to drive, work, use sharp knives before or after till you're back to normal.

Viridana -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 3:04:53 PM)

Agreed.  I think a one or two good sleeping pills could very well do the trick...... and it is a billion trillion times safer.

mnottertail -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 3:06:52 PM)

chinese mustard (equal parts mustard powder and vinegar) or whiskey soaked rags are far safer and they still must swoon.

and you are after the artifice and the essence, no?

angelikaJ -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 3:12:07 PM)

There is information on both of them via Wikipedia.

Actually I have seen ether used in a run down dump of a hospital in Uganda. I'm not saying that they were the paragons of safety and good medical practice, just that it's marginally preferable to chloroform. But yeah, what other people have said about sleeping pills and whiskey on a cloth, that's much more sensible.

OMG that's hot.  Were you volunteering there?

Oh, and to pretend I wasn't flirtjacking the thread -- OP, if you want to knock her out, you could enroll in a judo class and learn blood chokes.  That's still frikkkin dangerous, but hey.

afterforever -> RE: useing Chloroform in a scene (7/1/2009 4:06:08 PM)

Yeah, medical student, I spend all my summers wandering the globe looking for someone desperate enough to let me practice on. (wow, that sounded very un-subbie)
I'm going to Tanzania on saturday for a couple of months of surgery and sun.

Non-hijack.... judo blood chokes sound hot!

Well, if you weren't on the other side of a large body of water, I'd offer to demonstrate.
