Status: offline 		Right now I wear the leather collar He put on me.....black leather with red stitching and silver flat studs & buckles.  The only time it comes off is when I'm in the shower or when it's getting saddle soaped.  We're talking about getting me a pretty chain and tiny lock to replace it.  That way I will never have to take it off.

Status: offline 		I think a choker is a perfect representation of a collar. Its wearable in public without being uncomfortable, it always reminds me of how I'm Owned by my Daddy.  Whenever I touch it I automatically think of Him...which I love being able to think of my Daddy, and how He Owns me at all times of the day.

Status: offline 		I have a thin gold chain with a boxy type of link.  I also have a small round silver tag necklace with my slrn# and the corresponding bar code on it.  he likes objectification so the silver one kinda gives him a kick.

Status: offline 		my owner made me an every day kinda collar that is simply black chain (that has a "dog tag" hanging from it with the engraved "Propery of House Norische" ... and slightly more.. on it), with no clasp of any kind. it doesnt come off short of seperating one of the links.  have a bracelet to match.

Status: offline 		The last time I was collared, my Mistress saw to it that my collar could also be passed off as a choker. It was quite lovely. That being said, I've seen people wear everything from a regular necklace to a ring to an anklet to a bracelet. It should be between yourself and your Sub. I would choose based on his tastes in apparel and jewelry. Sometimes you dont even need any physical symbol. Sometimes just knowing that he's Yours will be enough.

Status: offline 		I actually did where my normal one all through high school in public. I didn't really belong to anyone but I already knew I was leaning toward the whole BDSM thing and the whole sub or switch side of it. Anyway, now days...my Master is going to get me some pretty chokers for public wear. For a boy though, perhaps a simple chain around his neck? That's what I'm going to do for our sub. Either that or maybe you know those homemade chokers the high school boys wear? The ones that remind you of the friendship hemp bracelets? I might make him one of those.

Status: offline 		i have two that i wear in public. the first one is a patent leather collar with an O ring, its small enough to pass for a cute choker. Now if Master feels i REALLY need to be discreet, then i have a metal choker with a heart padlock and a matching bracelet to go with that. Most of the time he leaves the decision up to me and what goes with what outfit etc. :)

yes people do stare but it doesn't bother me.

  becca has a Turian style collar that I bought from Eternity Collars in California. It is stainless steel and "locks" on with a little allen set-screw. She wears it 24/7 and gets some comments on it, but most people just assume it is a piece of "tribal" jewelry.

  The only issue we have had, other than her grandfather teasing her about her "dog collar" is at the airport post 9/11. It wasn't too bad, they didn't even make me remove it after she told them what it was, they just took her aside and used the wand. But they DID take away my allen wrench "key"... I guess tiny allen wrenches are a great threat to planes in some way... perhaps that is how the wings are attatched, I am not sure.

Status: offline 		My collar looks just like a necklace a gold circle encirled with diamonds on an 18k gold chain I wear that almost every day . The only time i take it off is wjeh i switch to my dressy collar which is a heart wth alternating diamonds and emeralds. One of them is always around my neck. When i was in college i almost laughed whrn a prof complimented my on my pretty "necklace".

We know what it stands for, and that ia all tha matters to us.

Status: offline 		I too have quite sensitive skin, which means my everyday collar is not always possible. But Daddy bought me a beautiful sterling silver chain choker, which is rolled metal, rounded and fits at the base of my neck perfectly. That and a sterling silver ring in the shape of a bee, which he gave me as a reminder of his admiration and protection in the initial stages.
