Yet if it's a M2F Tg and they tick off female and then in the profile state they are pre-op, then there should not be any issue at all. The same applies for F2M.

My viewpoint is from a logical point of view. I'd like you to explain, as a straight man, what do you dislike about transexuals? As far as I can tell, it seems to boil down to some base "icky" feeling you have.

If someone looks like a woman, smells like a woman, tastes like a woman, fucks like only a woman can. Why are they not a woman? This isn't a case of viewpoints. This is an objective question of logic. What is it that defines a woman, which post ops don't have ?

Its about what goes on in my head as well though, I'm not doubting that transsexuals are attractive and good at sex but for me, and I expect everyone, what is attractive isn't just what is pleasing to the eye, its also psychological and I'm afraid with a transsexual the fact that they used to be a man would always play on my mind.

I'm sorry and I really do wish that wasn't the case but it is, I don't see why you should belittle it as an "icky feeling" like its childish or ignorant for me to think this. People like different things and are allowed to like different things, the point of my post wasn't what turns you on vs doesn't turn you on, it was whether transsexuals should be classified as female on this website.

beargonewild -> RE: Transsexual = Female? (7/4/2009 5:20:00 PM)

Then maybe you should think past the fact that the person USED have a penis and has a functional vagina instead. Let me ask you this: would you rather a woman was secure enough and honest enough to say she was TG or have her lie by omission and not tell you at all? Methinks you need to sit down with a few people who are out as transgendered and listen to what they have to say.

It's YOUR feeling.  How DARE you ascribe this same feeling to "everyone"???

willowspirit -> RE: Transsexual = Female? (7/4/2009 5:23:48 PM)

This is kinda convoluted... like the "Rest rooms" debate.
If we accommodate all people, based on all of their biases and according to their preferences, we'd have:

a restroom for straight females
a restroom for lesbians
a restroom for straight males
a restroom for gay males
a restroom for gay males who want to hook-up
a restroom for straight males  & straight females who want to hook-up
a restroom for TS to female & straight
a restroom for TS to male & straight
a restroom for TS to female & lesbian
a restroom for TS to male & gay
a restroom for some of the above WITH kids
a restroom for "pretties"
a restroom for "uglies"
a restroom for ............

Like the term Bi-sexual --- Does this mean simply that the person enjoys sex no matter what the "packaging" is of the person they're with? Or does it mean that they "fall in Love" with either gender equally, and truly have no preference in all areas of their relationships?? Maybe someone is just "bi-kinky" ?

I mean really....
why not have a category on Collar me for cheating husbands?  That would make my life easier!

but of course, I suppose, I could just post "no married men" in my profile... but that would assume that they would actually read it.

By the same token, why should you belittle transexuals for identifying as female ? You said yourself that the profiles you read included that fact further down.

stella41b -> RE: Transsexual = Female? (7/4/2009 5:24:07 PM)

Oh dear, here we go again....

To me if a transsexual female is in the process of transitioning AND living as a female 24/7 with the intention of doing so permanently then why can't she have the option of listing herself as female? Let's face it she's presenting herself as female elsewhere, at work, at home, with friends and family, if her ID, bank statements, driver's licence and passport are all in female identity, then why not also on a website such as this one? The process of transitioning here means a recognized gender reassignment program.

I can understand that it would matter specifically here what is in her underwear for those who are considering having an intimate relationship, but is it really that big a deal? If she's not for you you just move on. It really is that simple.

You see TS is nothing more than a label, and I carry this label because it defines me as a female but at the end of the day I am a whole complete person and just wish to be accepted as such, and not as an issue or medical condition.

peachgirl -> RE: Transsexual = Female? (7/4/2009 5:26:00 PM)

I was just going to say, where's stella when you need her!

angelikaJ -> Does having a Y chromosome make somebody a man? (7/4/2009 5:29:02 PM)

From The Intersex Society of North America

edit to add:
"In fact, there’s a whole lot more to maleness and femaleness than X or Y chromosomes. About 1 in 20,000 men has no Y chromosome, instead having 2 Xs. This means that in the United States there are about 7,500 men without a Y chromosome. The equivalent situation - females who have XY instead of XX chromosomes - can occur for a variety of reasons and overall is similar in frequency."

I don't know...in the context of profiles on this site it tends to really mean "lesbian" more often than not with all the 'bisexual' profiles that say at the top in big, bold lettering "NO MALES."

It just leaves me wondering....[sm=biggrin.gif]

Like I said, this isn't a thread about what I find attractive that should have nothing to do with it, its about classification.

I'm not saying "I dont find this attractive and so they should not list themselves as female" I'm saying "they are listed as female but in their profile they say they are post-op transexuals, should they list themselves as female?"

Its a debate and I'm trying to learn a little more on the subject, I'm not saying I'm right and my opinion is the only one that matters and everyone should follow it. People do love to twist and focus too much on a single point on here.

There ya go you have the answer.  You complain that people are attacking you simply because its not something you like, which is of course your choice...its called  WIITYD.  They also have to choice to be who they are, yet your posts and reactions condemn them for that very reason.

If you email with someone and its questionable...hell ask them, most are more than happy to supply you with that info and you can move on. But instead you complain on the boards that someone checked the female box....apparently you did find out she was trans...simply say I'm sorry I'm not into that type of dynamic and move on.

Your posts indicate you judge them in a negative way....they have just as much right to live their life as they choose, just as you do.

Have an open mind..I cant imagine you get tons of emails of trans showing as females. I'm sure that number is far less than the wankers that pose as females to get their jollies.

Some are married hence why no males.

Others, well I saw a few ads calling guys idiots for not know that bisexual means they're not interested in men period.

Ooh the irony of someone who thinks a bisexual women aren't interested in men at all calling others idiots.

It can be a big deal for some. Granted it's their issue and not yours, but if they feel you intentionally misled them by withholding that one fact, things can get very very bad in a hurry. I think there was a case in Denver about that recently. It was a murder trial, because it was 'the guy's issue.' It was his issue.....and it very quickly became the TS person's issue.....and not in a good way.

Yes, labels suck. But we're in a society that has to have drowning lables on a mop bucket or 'caution hot' on a cup of coffee from McDonald's. If you can cover your own ass with the use of a 'label' it may be worth it in the long run.

Yep, those would be the one that leave me scratching my head (and laughing).

onlyfreelycaged -> RE: Transsexual = Female? (7/4/2009 5:34:30 PM)

I May just be the odd one here, but I really don't care if a person is male, female or somewhere in between, or both.. What I care about is the person. It's the same if I am looking for friends, or romantic relationships.

I understand why they wouldn't want to post it on there profile, just like I don't put on everything on mine. It's too short for that, and looses part of the fun of getting to know someone. I've known some people for years, and am still learning new things about them.

I don't think that having more options would help, not one bit.

Yes, because by legal and personal standards, they ARE females.

Yes but have you ever drunk Guinness? or tried lemon marmalade? Or a Marmite and banana sandwiches? Or seen the beautiful lady boys on the street corners in Fiorenze?
Or spent a whole year orientated as a biy by trying to pee standing up because a girl told you she loved you?
This is not your own wxperience you are taljing about it's fear and prejudice of the unknown and different.

willowspirit -> RE: Transsexual = Female? (7/4/2009 5:39:21 PM)

Hey, I just read the OP's profile.
Only 20 years old...
What if many of us have a serious problem with 20 year olds calling themselves "Master" ?
I mean, geesh!
It's about "classifications"  -- right ???
  Heck, to many of my lifestyle friends, the term "Master" implies that you are in a relationship... that you own someone?
    How can some one be a "Master" unless they have accepted the commitment and are committed to a slave/submissive?
        It's about "classifications",  right???
