Pouring money into the regime in China ? Right now they are the only ones willing to buy our debt. We will regret this in the future but it is the only way the Obama administration can even begin to pay some of this debt.

Interesting that you put it on the Obama administration when we went into the greatest debt to China during the Bush years.

And yes, we are pouring money in for the cheap products we can buy at places like Wal-Mart and Target.

Get real. You could never support the man if he weren't opposed to capitalism.

And why do you respond with a personal attack, risking a TOS violation and moderation if its such a silly, insane, blah blah blah yada yada yada assertion. Judging by your reaction it seems I hit a nerve. Judging by your reaction, I'd have to say that the opposite of what you say must be true.

You should really change your name Sanity.  With ridiculous statements like that, you most certainly are not.

Thanks for proving what I said about the right being intellectually bankrupt and in desperation mode.

And no, this statement is too silly to even dignify with a proper response.

Uhhh, guys. 10 week low in stock market amid talks of a new stimulus?

So has anyone seen any suggestions on exactly what a new stimulus would consist of? Last I read only 10% of this recent stimulus had been spent, so why would people talk about a new stimulus? Aren't those the ones that are saying give it time? The other side is, if we continue to spend into the red, won't it be the next few generations that pay for that? Isn't that some of the criticism of the last admin?

US not planning new stimulus package

July 9, 2009 - 7:14AM A US administration official told politicians on Wednesday there is no effort underway to launch a new economic stimulus, quashing speculation that had been growing in recent days.

"No one in the administration is talking about a second stimulus at this point," Rob Nabors, the deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget, told a House of Representatives hearing.

"What we are focused on right now is implementing the Recovery Act that Congress has already passed, and doing the best that we can with the dollars that you've entrusted us with. So, that's what our focus is right now."

LMAO. I can hear the violins playing. "Greed" is what drives individuals, companies and countries to greatness and allows the great ones to share their success with the less fortunate. Without greed we would be stuck in the 19th Century...at best.

Which perfectly illustrates my point on how misguided the business community and investors have become.

Reading some of your other posts I assume you follow the traditional conservative "family values".  So how does the concept of greed fit in with that?

Greed is nothing more than acting in your/your families best interest. It is totally consistent with "family values"

Thanks for that! I hope they stick with no more stimulus.

Here is some blogger pointing out what is really going on with the "stimuli".
Wednesday, July 8, 2009 While Talking About Keynesian Stimulus, Feds Are Really Just Giving Money to the Big Boys
"...Keynesians like Paul Krugman say that fiscal stimulus will get us out of this economic crash.Austrian economists say that the Keynesians are wrong, and that they erroneously think that stimulus spending is a "free lunch"....."
Here is the conclusion:
"In fact, the government has simply undertaken a massive redistribution of wealth from the little guy to the big boys. That is not stimulus. That is robbery."

Here is a good explanation how T. Geithner TARP proposal would work:

Well, it depends on how much this guy is "in the know", because there are a lot of rumors swirling about.

And it wouldn't be the first time an administration official (meaning any administration) wasn't completely clued in to what was going on.

herbcaroll -> RE: 10 Week Low amid Talks of New Stimulus (7/9/2009 6:44:12 PM)

The banks just pocketed the $ and aren't lending. Before that, the oil companies had their sucker punch with $150 a barrel oil that bin laden himself said should only cost $100. This country is in shambles and I don't see it getting any better soon. And it is the height of hypocrisy for the US to bust China's rice bowl yet sell them T-Bills to keep this ponze scheme of an economy afloat. I say let the banks go under if they make bad business decisions. Period.

rulemylife -> RE: 10 Week Low amid Talks of New Stimulus (7/9/2009 7:20:01 PM)

Bin-Laden has something to do with setting the price of oil?

slvemike4u -> RE: 10 Week Low amid Talks of New Stimulus (7/9/2009 7:33:10 PM)

Are you telling me this guy is running a terrorist organization and exerting influence on world wide oil prices.
