Once in a while i hear someone say "I don't want to live to be 100".  i've always wanted to reply...well, how about 90 or 80?
Or how about 30 (remember Logans' Run)?

What age are you willing to live to?  (And old are you now?)

As for me, i'll go for 100.  (i'm 64 now.)

I picked 90.

Now, if science makes it where the quality of life is high enough, then bring on the 100s.

Oh, and I'm 44 now.

FR, after read thru

While I'm prepared to go at any minute, if I'm given me druthers I'd ruther live to 98. I made a choice about that a long time ago, & I do what I can to work toward that goal. If I achieve it then I've still got another 54 years to go. Not even half way, yet. That thought excites me.

I've got some decent genes in that direction, & if attitude counts for anything . . . . *shrugs*

Ah. & part of me druthers is that be a spry, active, alert & sharp 98, thank you, universe.

lol

(silly me I often forgot my age) 46, 47, 48........something like that.

I picked "70 sounds old to me" because by then the grandums will have grown into the adults they're going to be or damn near and that's what I want to see.......what kind of adults they'll grow into.  I'm not trying to babysit THEIR grandbabies!!

My age.................

At the age of 13 I had a DNR, It required a Afadavit that said I understood the terms of a DNR and that I was of legal sond mind at the time. My Parents had to waive any right to overturn my decision and luckily both my parents understood.

It was a LOT of work for a Minor to get a DNR and if it wasn't for a doctor taking the time to listen to WHY I wanted it I might have had to have waited til I was 18.

I want to LIVE. Being ALIVE isn't LIVING and if I am to be in a Hosbital Bed eating through a Tube and drooling on myself then to me this isn't life. If I cannot be revived by CPR then it is simply my time to go.

Death is always something I found strange how people react to. They are either afraid of it or ready for it. I am Ready for it even at 28..... even at 13 Death was just a natural effect of life.

I want to live it the best way I know how and when I am unable to do that I hope that death comes for me quickly.

Sure it would be nice to live to 90 but it isn't something I am shooting for.

What am I shooting for?

To make EVERY day one that I could die on and be happy with what I did that day.

80 and that is only if I am still relatively healthy and still sharp in the noggin. Any age sucks if your sick or an invalid, I think. Also once you get to a certain age people tend to forget you are around at least that is what I've observed for many elderly people.

I'm aiming for a minimum of 100, got too much to experience! Even then I need another 4-5 lifetimes extra

And LaT.......you calculations makes you 46, not 47 as you're 2 years younger than I am.

My vote was for any age because I don't aspire to live to be a particular age. My time is up when the good Lord says so.

I want to at least pass up my dad. He died at 45. I have two years to catch him. All of my grandparents lived into their 90's & my mom just turned 76. So who knows how long you will live. Genes has nothing to do with it.  It's really not the quantity of life, it's the quality.

That means you have a good 50-60 years left girly    Because I deem it so!
