This is probably a good time to mention Wrecking Balm. Unfortunately, Wrecking Balm is crap. It doesn't work any better than using Esoterica or Palmer's Age Spot Serum or hydrogen peroxide/lemon juice and sunlight. Yes, the tat will fade, but it is time consuming and depending on how deeply the ink was put in, it won't remove even -most- of the tat. The only sure way of removing a tat is by laser removal (where the ink is selectively destroyed by lasers set to that particular color spectrum), which is painful (about twice as painful as the original tat), expensive (a 3x3 tat costs around $1400 to remove), and time-consuming (it may take up to 7 30-minute visits to remove a 3x3, 4-color tat). Honestly, I wouldn't put one on if I had any illusions about possibly wanting to take it off. On the other hand, Wrecking Balm, used daily for about 3 months, can fade a tattoo enough that a cover tat can be done with great success. Dame Calla
