Status: offline 		A cool evening in Dublin. Well its cool always in Ireland laughs. i must say i feel better this week.  The Irish Domme did respond to me and said She would introduce Herself to me at the next munch in Dublin which will be in August. i cant wait. Anyway something that really bugs me is why Dommes do not respond to one line emails. After all Dommes are classy superior beings and wasnt the most classy of them all, Shakespeare, the man who said brevity is the soul of wit.  Anyway why is brevity not appreciated? And Ladies why do Dommes either block the mailer or simply not respond at all to the subs who send the shortest of mails, You know the one, the hi's, hello, hoping your having a good time etc

Status: offline 		Because they get tired of lots of emails.  They want to see some effort put into the first contact.

I have found that for contacting ANYone, it helps to reference their profile or even better, a post they made on the forums or a journal entry they made.

Edited to add:  It might not be the fact that the email is one line....

Status: offline 		There are a lot of dumb things about the way doms wish to be contacted.  The one liner issue is a non issue if the dom has a lot of info in there profile, something you can talk about and such but if they have just a small paragraph, how are you supposed to honestly write a paragraph that you arent  pulling out of your ass, at which point its meaningless 

anyways, thats my opininon on the matter and honestly , requiring huge intros just encourages people to copy and paste, and i agree with Dark steven, talking about the profile is the best way to go on any forum or personals site

Status: offline 		No...no... it's because we are tired from driving a taxi all day, wearing heels and when we went for a coffee after a long day of driving, someone dumped water on us. Then to come home and deal with our political goal's and find a one liner... well it just ticks us off. By this point we need substance and a one liner isn't even close. We might need to walk the street in our heels and with our tired feet, looking for someone to smack.

When a sub writes to me and the only thing he says is "Hi", I do look at his profile, to see if there is more to him, than this simple one word. Most times there is nothing on his profile but the basic information. I will not respond to it. If he can not take the time and effort to introduce himself and give me some idea of what it is that he is looking for, why should I bother writing to him? It is ridiculous the amount of emails that I get with one word in the body of it. "Hi" "Hello" "Hey". Would you seriously respond to such an email? I am looking for a boy of substance. If he can't produce that quality in the first email or worse, the second one, why would I think that I have found such a boy?
 
I suspect that you knew the answer to your question prior to asking it, but I will take your post seriously, because you took the time to write it out, and I will answer it seriously.
 
I hope that I have helped you understand this Domina a little better. 
 
Congratulations on your meet with the Irish Domina. I think it will be good for you to meet someone who actually does admit to being a Dominant and not someone you suspect of being one. It is a healthy step for you, and I am proud of you.

Status: offline 		Brevity is the soul of wit, when there is a point (of course, Polonius didn't have a whit of any of the above.) I do have a fairly extensive profile, and very specific about my preferences, which people completely disregard. I still try to answer most emails, but some are comments which do not require an answer. Some are just insulting to my intelligence, or to me. If someone can't take the time to spell things correctly, or they actually say "UR not attractive" (got that one last week), why should I answer?

Actually, Kevin, it is because it is a Domme conspiracy.  Yep yep yep.  Frankly anytime a Domme does anything that makes you wonder "why," it is part of the same conspiracy to reinforce the fact that YOU are not a Domme.  The "why" that these things cause is to reinforce the fact that your 23rd chromosome pair is XY instead of XX.  So, when you are forced to say "why" it once again points out the "Y" in your chromosomes.
