When one uses quick-reply, it indicates you replied to the last poster above you wheter you actually were or not.  I was actually responding to 3 or 4 various posters in the thread who mused about the modes of transmission.  Not aimed at you specifically, but if you have gained more knowledge jst by happenstance, good on ya.

LafayetteLady -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/20/2009 9:25:06 PM)

If you read Racquelle's post fully,
"HIV has been found in saliva and tears in very low quantities from some AIDS patients. It is important to understand that finding a small amount of HIV in a body fluid does not necessarily mean that HIV can be transmitted by that body fluid."

While it MAY not mean it can be transmitted that way, it also MAY be transmitted that way and at this time they just have not come across a case where that has happened. To conclude that "french kissing" someone with HIV is completely safe would be incorrect, it is simply not the highest risk activity.

Yes, people assume risks every day, some things more riskier than others. However, as far as STDs go, HIV/AIDS is the only completely, unarguably LIFE THREATENING one that is there. It is the only STD that can cause someone to be charged with attempted murder. That's pretty significant. I'm certainly not saying that infected people should be sent to a leper colony or suffer a life without love.

What's frightening is the number of people who think that it's ok to have unprotected sex with multiple partners. To think that because they are regularly tested, they are safe. Being regularly tested simply means that if/when you are infected you will become aware of it early enough to manage the disease and maintain some quality of life for a long period of time. What's sad is that there are people who identify as "slaves" who, because of that identification wonder whether it is appropriate for them to turn someone down who is infected. Just because someone identifies themselves as a slave would never mean that they should not have a choice about an unacceptable risk. I can't help but wonder if they would be so unsure of rejected a potential master who wanted them to assume other life threatening risks. Should they accept a master who wants them as a slave because the master needs a kidney and they are a match? Or perhaps the master wants to get involved in selling organs on the black market and thinks the slave would be a good candidate? Yes, those are very extreme examples, but we all know there are at least a *few* people here who believe that if "master" decided that they were done with them and told them to jump off a bridge and kill themselves they would. I can't be the only one who sees something seriously wrong with that kind of thinking.

You must be comfortable with a Master in order to serve them truly.  You were simply not comfortable.  You made the right choice.  Let it be left at that.

There is nothing dishonerable with saying "This will not work" before the acquisition. IF a slave said that to Me I would have respect for them.

Did anyone notice that his profile says he is a male straight slave, and that this post is about serving a "master" and not a mistress?  doesnt this raise some questions?

Yes.... does this mean we are only allowed to post on threads that are relevant to our own D/s persuasion?

Huntertn -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/24/2009 6:06:30 PM)

the best way to keep from being HIV postive  is to stay away from those that have it..Is that fair to the person having it..maybe not..But you have the right  to refuse any type of service..thats your choice in life..much less the lifestyle..and I don't give a sh** what your or their gender might or might not be..Its still your choice..and you get to make it guilt free as far as I know.

Firebirdseeking -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/26/2009 8:42:42 PM)

No, certainly not, but if you read the profile...well, let me simply say he sounds like a 15 year old boy.

FangsNfeet -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/26/2009 9:21:33 PM)

Being a slave or a "real slave" does not mean you have to serve every Tom, Dick, and Harry, who call themselves a Master. The only one you have to serve is your master. If you ask me, a Real Master would not wish nor want to put a servent in such a life threatening position.

corsetgirl -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/28/2009 4:37:11 PM)

Just because you are considered a slave does not mean you have risk your safety for anybody. This is a matter of common sense.
